GS Storm buggy rtr or ofna buggies?

I have a couple of Storms and like them alot and I also have an XRAY and there in different leagues, but there also in different price ranges so it all really comes down how much you want to spend. Also I have heard good and bad on the Ofna's but the one thing everyone seems to say is they are...

    Storm Pictures, Fioroni Conversion Chassis

Awesome Storm! I would agree that the B01 is a great engine for someone just starting out. It was the first engine I really learn to tune on and it performed great for a RTR mill.

    Twitchy LST

Jon, I would definately go with the larger battery pack. I am still using the 1200 mah and dont get great run times with it and I know it is fully charged. As for the fail safe I use the ofna failsafe and before it even kicks on the truck will start twitching but is still able to lunge forward...

    RC Magazines

I get my RC mags from the LHS but I have seen them at 7-11's and grocery stores as well. I like Hi-Torque's R/C Car magazine the best, it's smaller than the other magazines but there reviews seem better and more informative to me.

    Redemption For The Chargers!!!

The Raiders had there run and blew there chance to win a super bowl now it's there turn to be at the bottom for a while. My Chargers showed they can hang with Manning and the Colts on the turf, plus they didn't have McCardell in that game which could have made a differance. They got the best...

    Does the Jammin really jam?

The Jammin buggy looks great just saw one in person a couple weeks ago, I went with the XB8 and was very pleased with the quality of it and how easy it was to build. The only thing is that I found out that the LHS is supporting the Jammin buggy and not the XB8 so for now I will have to order...

Need info Whats better HPI S-25 or Mach.26

I have the Mach .26 that came with my LST and like it alot and would take it over the HPI S-25, but since you already have the HPI engine I dont think it would be to much of an upgrade and I would probably just stick with the stock engine until it gives up on you. Try Stormerhobbies for the Mach...

    I'm Going Crazy!

The XB8 is an awesome kit and I would deffinately recommend it, it is pricey though. I also have a couple of Storms that I like a lot but are not even close to as nice as my XB8 but for the money they are good buggies for me. I would totally agree with husky and say you get what you pay for, so...

    Nitro Rustler or Nitro Evader

Rustler, just because parts are easy to find and there is plenty of aftermarket stuff out there for them to turn them into a great truck. Take a look at Mayhem's sig for example and look what he did with his.

Advice on a starter box or roto start?

I second the starterbox, the Ofna chrome top is what I got you should take a look at it.

It's Alive and Back from the Dead

Looks good NJRC, I have a buggy that was pretty much made with parts off of this site. I bought the Storm without an engine or servos from Darthracer, the 8 Port from Imbroken and the wheels that are on it are from a buggy roller that I bought from Jon2. Some of the stuff I have added are the...

    FastEddys XB8 Build

One of the build tips from the Xray site was to mount the body on the buggy first before making holes, because they were not accurate. The body is the one thing I got left to do, now that I am done I am gonna have to buy another kit just so I can build again but first I will have to unload some...

    Lst Owners

They do drain the batteries a bit more than a normal truck, deffinately get an rx pack if you plan on getting this truck as you will be going through alkalines like crazy if you use them.

    FastEddys XB8 Build

I had the same problem with the washers and a couple of screws that weren't machined right, and an engine mount that was messed up (one of the holes on it was to small) these are the only problems I encountered with my build. I got a lot of my build done in the first couple of days but then had...

Servos for the jr xs3 pro

I also use the XS3 with most of my rc's I am using airtronics 359 (steering) and the 360 for t/b on the XB8 I just built they are expensive but you get what you pay for, I have had issues with Hitec and Jr servos and from this point on will be using Airtronics on my competitive stuff. The 357...

1/8 engines which one to all o.s. and ws711 owners

Flash, where have you seen the Jp Fx b5n for the best price I really want to give this engine a try. Rcmushroom has it for $420 do you know of anywhere that has it cheaper? It and the V-Spec are the two engines I really want to try next.

    XRAY XB8 owners!

I couldn't get my line to stay flat like that when I tried it that way. It was all up against the engine when I did it, but the line was still scrunched up I will have to get some new line and try it again. I didn't even know about the longer pressure line working better.

1/8 engines which one to all o.s. and ws711 owners

I wasn't trying to say that the Ws7II couldn't be geared for a more technical track I was just saying that with what he described with his track having a lot of turns, and say both engines had the same toothed clutch bell what engine would accelerate out of those turns better, from what I have...
