I have a Losi 8E that had a battery explode during practice, one day. Melted the body, the center diff front bulkhead, the radio box, and scorched the chassis...this was last summer and I'm still working on getting back to fighting shape.

I'd mount the receiver up top on the diff and put the MMM in the receivers current place...I'd rather replace a receiver than a MMM any day of the week. Just extend the wires.

Yea, I stretched them. they fit decent around the can, but the little black chrome spacers don't really do much. But the motor IS tight in the mount, that's for sure!

Put your purse down and stretch them, like I did. It's not easy, but it works.
