hi i am new to rc cars and i just bought a redcats tornado bb. i havent got it yet its being shipped rite now but i was doing some online reserch and i just found out that you need to replace tires. i didnt know this but does anyone know where is a good place to buy tires when they go bad. thanks and any other tips would help. the one website said 4wd buggies tires go bad after only a few runs is this true?

I would think a short time should not make the tires go bad, but i can't say from expieriance, never owned a buggy. but you can check sites like towerhobbies for tires and wheels, the one down side of a redcat is part support, so your gonna have to look around if you break somthing. tires however for buggies are universal.

What vehicle is it exactly? Any idea the size of the wheel hex, width and height of the wheels?

Staying in the grass and soft dirt will let them hold up quite a while. Running on hard pack dirt or pavement will chew them up within a few bash sessions if not less.

and thanks i didnt know the road would wear them out ill keep off pavement

Well, according to the site, they are 12mm hex wheels:

Not sure of their size though.

These might work for street use:

Not coming up with much for off road though... not sure what 1/10 electric buggies run, but in the mags, the 4wd electric buggies have a bit wider rears than fronts like yours.

Checked on tower and all I came across for reference was the associated b4 buggy. It runs 9.5mm hex... so that's out.

i have no idea of what u are saying olds, not up to times on the rc lingo yet

Sorry man! ;)

12mm hex is the wheel hub. If you take one of your wheels off the vehicle, you will see the hub. Generally, that hub and the recess in the wheel is referred to as a hex. Axle hex/hub is the part on the axle that the wheel hex keys to.

If you measure your rims diameter (just a ruler across the face should suffice) and the width of the rims/tires, we may be able to find you something that you can use.

ok thanks
