traxxas makes a great truck the only REAL problems that you'll have are the ones you make yourself... (think twice before launching repeatedly off a quater pipe) LOL
I did the OS .21 swap, it was nice much more bottom end, I can pull the front off the ground on takeoff if the wind is right and the sky is clear... but if I could do it again, I would have deffinatly gone with more bang. If you are looking for top end the stock 3.3 trx has more. I'm going with...
The book CD is a good idea, just make sure that its an interestin one. I've driven 18-21 hour stints from Ft riley KS to agusta Georgia and I found that the music kinda blends togeather after awhile, and a little news on the radio or a good cd book mixes it up.
and what is a vibrating explorer??
Belive it or not I got one for ya, when the fuel is run out and you happen to have an "empty" 1 gal bottle of nitro fuel left over, take it out back keeping a safe distance from anything you value, house, wife, kids, cars, your face, stuffed animals, ect, and having it sealed shake it up, take...
In freezing and sub freezing tempatures, if the fuel is allowed to cool too much, it will gel up and colg the fuel lines. (especialy if you have a filter) If it's not tooooo cold and you don't let the fuel sit out in the cold while it in the bottle you shouldn't have any problems. In really cold...
I never even know about general talk forum thing... Just found it. But Yea I am a SGT in the Army active 19K armor crewman (tanker) its a fun job lots og big booms involved. I'll be getting deployed within the next two weeks, again, to Iraq, AGAIN, hope its better than last time some of my buds...
The T-maxx, Revo, And Savage all have a huge selection of after market. Ease of repair would have to go to the T-maxx tho. User friendly to the Revo. Pit bull to the Savage.
if you're wanting something cheeper but with a little of all the above might look into a Nitro rustler, they are fun...
LOL yea, That water comment really cracked me up considering I tried to turn my revo into a submarine when it took off on me srait into a 6 foot deep ditch with about 3 feet of water at the bottom... I always double check the carb servo linkage now tho.
Well seeing how this is the general nitro portion of the site i'm not sure how a lipoSUCK battery would do, (sorry shameless hate on the Electric gang)
But you need the biggerst clutchbell gear you can find EX...
I would check the Rc with the batt in it unconnected. If the overpaid @$$ inspecting it wants to make a deal he will just hae to return you your baggage at worst, Or pay the equivelent if those shmucks lose it: mini t with lipo and lipo charger, $150 wheel tire set, upgarded servos $90 a peice...
+1 on the insulation of the engine/cooling vanes
Well they have water proof servos out there but... I've done it and haven't really ran into any problems, BUT if it gets too cold the Fuel will gel up. Other than that just be sure to not let a pile of snow melt on top of the truck!

not really just for fun don't hate me, but i did give my last duratrax away I had numerous PITA problems with it and finally said screw it. You need a more quality RC (Not to say that duratrax dosn't make quality rc's but I have...
And this is how people end up selling their RCs for way less than they are worth. don't give it up man you are just having a bad luck spell. I broke my truck 6 times and submerged it in a ditch over my 9 day vacation, but haven't broke it since I got home. Give it a bit.
Always fix my own stuff always. It's really easy and Like it's been said if I run into something that I can fix, I know someone here will know whats up. I fix real cars too, don't bring them to the shop unless it needs body/frame repair.
Come to think of it up to now I haven't even heard of a clutchbell with less than 14 teeth on it. Could be a little exxesive but hell its not like they cost a lot and you only live once!
