Today starts the long weekend! The last 2 days hovered close to 100°, today didn't make it to 70°. I love the the cooler temps! However, it has been drizzly all day, but not wet enough to prevent the crawling kick-in to a long weekend.
I donned my rain poncho, so I can protect and operate the transmitter, should there be any rain.
Jalapeno took several hard knocks, but didn't sustain any damage. Also, conquered a few difficult climbs it couldn't before.

Had to put trash6 on a diet for today's trail session. It's too hot to carry 2 extra lbs. This thing is a monster on 4s! Time for a real servo and some good wheels. And likely a revolver classic so I can haul the weight more gracefully.
That thing is a beast! But, it shouldn't be hauling just trash. I think it should be Missile6 😉

Back to PTF again on this very wet Saturday. First run for the new Quicrun wp1080 esc.
Well, it ran as smooth as butter! Trying to get out of the woods when the heavy rain came, not so smooth. I got a bit disoriented and ended up taking close to an hour to find my way back to the parking area.
Still a great crawl session, and found the red trail, which is now my favorite trail here.

Rained all day today. Which gave me a chance to clean the Scout and Defender from their previous wet terrain outings.
Got a little crawling fix though.....in the family room 😀

Got out on my favorite stomping ground to test out the addition of 160g of brass I had just added to Jalapeno. The truck didn't seem any heavier, but the performance was impressive. Sidehilling improvement was particularly noticeable.
I also tested out the different sized battery weights in regards to top heaviness. I used 3s 2200mAh vs 2s 5500mAh. I'm happy to report that there doesn't seem to be any noticable negative effect to the center of gravity to Jalapeno.
