transmission.
So their advertisment of 60% faster is just marketing? The BL-2s system is the same speed as the XL-5 12T, so you shouldn’t be overpowering the drivetrain or transmission.

They are both 35+mph. With the titan 12t that's with the included speed pinion. I'm assuming the "60% faster" is talking about acceleration and not top speed. So their advertisment of 60% faster is just marketing?
So if you buy a new 2wd slash it will come with the BL-2s but I was wondering if an upgrade to an older slash would make sense when BL-2s available. I don't know if this would be part of the Traxxas power up program. It probably makes sense to just hold tight until the motor fails if the performance is the same. They are both 35+mph. As for a better deal, isn't this gonna replace the brushed slash as the brushed system was discontinued?
When you burn out the brushed motor, just upgrade to VXL-3s or something similar. The BL-2s is just designed to be an update for entry-level basic Traxxas vehicles. The Power-Up program probably still allows you to upgrade straight from brushed to VXL-3s.So if you buy a new 2wd slash it will come with the BL-2s but I was wondering if an upgrade to an older slash would make sense when BL-2s available. Agreed. Or anything race grade would be better, but race grade electronics are not water proof.id go hobbywing MAX10. super powerful system. makes me jealous of my bros stampede.
Castle is good, but I suck at soldering the connector onAgreed. Or anything race grade would be better, but race grade electronics are not water proof.
Castle is also good but a bit more pricey.
I run all Hobbywing in my cars besides my mini which has an Amazon system in it.
I bet you Hobbywing is in more RTR's than any other brand.True, but Hobbywing isn’t in RTRs and Spektrum systems are in Horizon Hobby vehicles pretty much all with those stupid SLT3s. The DX3 is a little better
The driveshafts on the ultimate are upgraded from the ones on the VXL, and the steering hubs & rear caster blocks are aluminum. Also GTR shocks, and LCG chassis.
I wouldn't run it in anything 4wd I have both the old 2 pole and the new 4 pole Vxl3s systems and the motors overheat rather quickly, escs really need fans.okay, i guess i shouldnt bash on the electronics till I've had a VXL myself.

Hobbywing retail escs don't have connectors soldered on either.Castle is good, but I suck at soldering the connector on
