270. Pretty normal for Traxxas since they overprice everything. The only "HD" upgrades they have are arms and driveshafts for 2wd models. Pretty sure they don't have any other HD parts such as hubs castor blocks shock tower shocks links ect. But all of those parts are upgradable to better than stock and Traxxas HD parts anyways.

They overpriced it by 70 dollars if my maths is correct. Rip off. Smh Traxxas. The brushed model was 230. In reality it's more like 150 since it's trash. Resale values on these are not that good. That's one reason I don't want to get rid of mines.

I thought the brushed model was $179 or am I thinking of the one that doesn't come with a battery?

the brushed slash was 199. the bandit was 169.

Well either way the new 2wd Slash is rather disappointing especially when you compare it to the new 4x4 Slash and what you get VS the old model.

I’ve only known the lowest as $200 for all the brushed 2WD models without a battery

i would have to say you are biased. i, on the other hand, am not. the slash HD kit makes it pretty durable. the driveshafts on the bl-2s are better. plus, the vxl-3s needs to be thrown out pretty much immediately

I have several models running the VXL-3S and haven't had any issues, so I'm rather curious.

True, but Hobbywing isn’t in RTRs and Spektrum systems are in Horizon Hobby vehicles pretty much all with those stupid SLT3s. The DX3 is a little better

The driveshafts on the ultimate are upgraded from the ones on the VXL, and the steering hubs & rear caster blocks are aluminum. Also GTR shocks, and LCG chassis.
