Found a local ish outdoor backyard dirt track for mini's, they race mod mini b and other classes and that fits directly with my build.
Gonna try to get out there one Wednesday night during the summer
Track: Lightning Buggies RC - Denton MD
One of my buddies races there so I'm going to put his setup on my car and see how it does.

So excited to race on dirt for the first time with this car. 😁

Took the mini b outside today. To try it out. Ran into the trash can and clipped the gutter. Broke the front tower which I did plenty of times before. Good thing I bought gorilla glue the other day. Seems to be holding up just fine. Feeling by hand of course.

Put aside the carpet tire set. Used JConcepts ellipse rear and stock front tires for bashing in the backyard. In the grass. Got through easily where the thin/short area of grass is. Did good on the parking pad too. Going to see if I can get the tlr tuned carbon fiber towers next. Used to have cheap Amazon ones and those broke in no time. Which was back in summer when I was racing.

New Hackfab carbon fiber wide front tower
Replacement Losi turnbuckles and ball cups
Getting this all ready as I am going to the clay track on Monday and I want to try to test it and run it there. Will run my Ellipse tires rear and stock bar tires front, and with traction compound. High kv brushless system, should be pretty fast on the straight, but I will take it easy over the jumps.
Pics coming soon

Took it to the clay track. Did well. Surprised. 6100 kv motor, FAST down that straight. I can get to full RPMs on that motor a split second at the end of the straight. Ran 2 full battery packs. Fun. Broke the rear pivot (again) so I will replace that with aluminum.

Mini B:

Ordered Losi aluminum rear pivots to get it running. Gonna put it in my backpack and Ill test it out @ Beach RC in a few weeks. Compare it to when I was there 2 years ago with the stock brushed system. Should be pretty fast now.

I also am racing mini b, i got pro roller, xr10 pro stock v4 and furitek sensored motor. Fuzz bites front and twin pin back on order(grey carpet) aluminum braces aluminum camber block. cf towers, ball diff, tlr slipper, and the tlr cva, people don't get them but if i had to be honest, if you are new to mini b and pick up a roller, fully upgrade the drivetrain first, mip idler and top shaft, tlr slipper, mip diff or hr spool, cva driveshafts and fuzz bite tires will be best and much better mini b.

All fixed up and ready to go. New aluminum rear pivots. New GPM dogbones. Spray painted them silver. You know why I spray paint them? Bright colors? So in in case the ball cup pops out, and the dogbones flys out, j can easily see it to find it. Also sprayed some wd40 in the stub axles and hubs to try to loosen it up. So far it loosened up and moves more freely.

Did a few laps with the B at Beach RC. Did pretty well. Nothing broke. Did pop a ball cup which I got that fixed quickly. Just pop it back in. Landed hard from a ramp. But not surprised as these Mini Cars aren't the best on big rough tracks.

Did the mini track today, post coming soon. Nothing broke. Actually charging up another battery for today.
Gonna cut out a new wing cause the wing I got now is trash.

Cut out a new wing. JConcepts wing

I'm wanting a mini t 2.0 now. And more mini rcs. So I can use them inside.

Fixed it up today. Cleaned up the car. New chassis protector. Took a shock rod end off a broken spare shock I had and put that on the front shock. Also rebuilt the other front shock which leaked oil so hopefully that doesn't leak again.

Now revising my plans, LBRC has a bigger type of club race coming up on June 1st. My plan currently is to get dirt tires for that track, transponder, and organize my car for that track. For tires, I am either thinking a new set of Losi BK Bar tires (stock set) or ProLine Holeshot / JCon Hawks (best setup for the track). Getting a new waterfall body mount so I can use the body clip as the one on the car, the plastic broke. And getting a new body. Looking at the ProLine Axis body as it looks sleeker. And I have to organize some of my wiring. Might go back to the Dynamite 2in1 if space is an issue as the transponders they use, are bigger than the ones I previously used. (Previously used Mylaps, they use trackmate IR)

LBRC has a Mod Mini B class so I will be a perfect fit for that class. Outdoor mini dirt track. Its an hr and a half from my house. Should be nice to try dirt and have some mini racing. After that big race, hopefully I can go there more for club racing throughout summer. After summer ill transistion back to my carpet setup and hopefully to get some Minis out @ The Factory or 997
