Awhile back I was at the Traxxas store, and came home with thise low center of gravity chassis kit for my Slash 4x4.

A couple weeks ago I decided I just really like my Slash the way it is, as it's setup for off-road bashing rather than race courses, and the HCG chassis works just fine.
So... I started rummaging around in my spare parts, and realized I had about half an RC, so... I ordered a few more parts from Jenny's RC..

Started putting things together this week, and this is where I am so far....

Decided to make this a street truck (Street + Slash = Stash), so out of the parts bin came an Onyx 70A ESC / 3000kv motor set, along with some Losi shocks and a Spektrum S652 servo (had to trim the Treal aluminum servo-arm a bit to match the factory length. It has a Rustler 4x4 front bumper for now... will probably get an RPM or custom rear bumper.

Nah, I think yours is just a Monster Slash, trying to hide under an assumed name... :joyful:

I suppose it'd be ok to call yours a Slampede... I was saving that moniker for later use, but, hey I can be generous. :bored:

Over a year, and yours is the only one?

I guess if it didn't catch on... I should give mine a better name.

Unless that "4x4" at the end makes all the difference, can we wait a year to see? :joyful:

Maybe I could just go with St4sh to make it easier on the two-finger keyboarders. :bored:

Then again, if it's an irritation, I could just call it the Rash (Road-Slash) :hehe:

yes the rash.
plus the "stash" name is limited to mine!
oh and BTW, its a 4x4 as well......
I don't know... I checked the registry at the website for the International Committee Overseeing RC Naming and did not find 'Stash' listed... you may have missed the deadline.

:joyful:

Installed the A-arms, shocks and links...

...and put the Proline Raid wheels with Street Fighter tires on as well.

I'm still waiting for an RPM rear bumper and need to install the radio gear, but cleaned up the wiring a bit and got the body posts setup for the Proline 1966 Ford F100 body (in my avatar).

Good choice! I have those wheels/tires on my Rally, they're awesome!

I may or may not have a good condition Rally bumper and possibly rear body mount I could send ya, if you ever consider converting it to a Rally down the road. I'm gonna have to check my spare parts bin to confirm.

I have a Rally already with the Escort body, so I doubt I'll go that route, but thanks so much for the offer.

I may fashion a custom rear bumper for this, one that bolts to the RPM brackets, but matches the rear of the truck better.

and, he changed the name to "rash"!
Actually I said "I Could..."

However, a majority of those responding to the controversy have signaled their support for Stash 4x4... :joyful:
(I could be a 'reporter' for the US MSM) :bored:

The RPM rear bumper isn't going to work with the body set low, so I just took the wheels off a Rustler rear bumper/wheelie bar I had, and it fits under the rear edge of the body just fine. I really shouldn't need a rear bumper for this one, but... it makes me feel better. Still need to cut and apply some foam rubber to the front bumper, but other than that I think it's ready for a trial run later this week (warmer weather and off from work).
