This post is very vague. We have no Idea what vehicle we are talking about, what servo, no pics. Offhand I would say it must be the servo, but the linkages could be binding up as well.

not enough information, but if you have no fail safe then could be when your battery gets low it leaves the servo's where they were last at.... which could be WOT!

It could be that the spring on the linkage came off or isn't tight enough.
