Air compressor with a little WD-40, works great.

Take out Electrics, fuel tank, Engine and wheels.

Take to local petrol (gas) station and jet wash it.
Put all dirty wheels in a bucket and jet wash them too.

Take home, spray with WD-40 and store in airing cupboard much to the wifes annoyance.

Air compressors work the best and you dont need to take a ton of parts off your buggy/truck to clean it. You can purchase one at a HOE DEPOT or for those of us that prefer a HOME DEPOT for a resonable amount of money...scence when is this hobby cheap any way!?!

Don't guess any hobby ya get into is cheap. I can't see me sitting around knitting or reading a book. Unless the book has something to do with the hobby. =devil

I wanted to spray paint one of my planes. Got a Craftsman compressor ($275?) and a $75 touch up gun. Haven't used the paint gun since, but I get a lot of use from the compressor. I got a little bigger one so if I wanted to use it for anything else, I wouldn't be waiting on it to catch up. (It still won't run an impact wrench very long.)
When I first got into aircraft, told the wife I needed a band saw. Told her all the things I could build for the house.... Well, I have scratch-built 4 or 5 planes... :cheerful:

Get a compressor. If ya can't afford one. How about this:http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/prod...=00915200000&subcat=Portable+Tank+Compressors or this: http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/prod...=00915201000&subcat=Portable+Tank+Compressors You could fill it up at a service station or better yet at a friends house while ya visit and drink a couple of beers.

I have sprayed my cars with 409 and compressed air.
When I had my Savage apart last, I used WD 40. It worked great. All the parts looked new. But ya have to have someway to blow them off.

The tanks your links went to wont fill themselves..they need to be filled by another compressor. Kinda a hassle dont u think?

No magic solvents or lubricants, just Simple Green (watered down) a toothbrush, a compressor, and a dry towel. Spray, scrub, rinse, dry, drive through dirt and repeat.

Yep. But if ya can't afford a compressor...
Lowes and home depot usually have small compressors. About $80. Here is one I found online. http://www.nationalonlinesales.com/show_Product.asp?ID=1579 As always, you get what ya pay for. Get the best that you can afford. You will be waiting on a little one to build air and it'll work itself to death.
Here is what I have. http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/prod...=00916731000&subcat=Portable+Tank+Compressors Maybe some of the other guys have a less expesive one that they like. How about it guys.
