In the MT class, you really don't need alot of engine. Just stay on your wheels and between the pipes and you will finish better than half of the guys out there.
lykan,
No, you can run pretty much any engine you want in the MT class where we race. I just went with the M2K, more of a personal preference and I am familiar with the engine.
Medial Pro M2K Evo. Jammin JP-1 pipe. Stock clutch.
On a side note, I put my truck on a Hudy board and it was way out of wack (from the factory). I went through it and set my camber and toe. Taking it to the track tomorrow and it should have a little more steering now. I'll let you...
You really can't go wrong with any of the high end kits. All of them perform as well as you can drive them. You can take any of them and put a good setup on them and be competitive if you have the skills to do so. You can also set one up poorly and be very disappointed with your buggy. Any...
Haha Corrado, you nailed it on the head, actually a pretty good comparison. Let's just say the newer model doesn't need any hopups like the old one did
Hey husky,
I got that front brace sitting on my kitchen table, gonna get it installed this weekend.
Yep, I raced too often, she's gone now. However, I replaced her with a newer / younger model so it all worked out ok. At least this one enjoys going to watch me race.
Let me suggest the Airtronics line also. The M8 is awesome. It does everything and it's light. Has a good balanced feel in your hand as well. As for servos, I run all Airtronics. 94357 or 360 for speed, 358 or 359 for torque. Excellent servos that last. 94757 is a good digital that has...
Trust me, I would like to see those also. But, you can't get too crazy with it or it will turn novice drivers away. It can't be too easy or it will turn the good drivers away. Gotta find that happy medium for novice, electric, gas, etc.
As far as size of the track, we are bound to what we...
husky,
On your preload spacers you want to set them where the front uni's are just above level and the rear are level. It's a good starting point and you can adjust from there.
Raced the truck last night and it is alot of fun to drive. Since I'm
new to MT's it took me a couple of laps to figure it out. I can safely
say it drives NOTHING like my XB8 :) After I got used to it I was
turning some pretty quick laps. Had a couple of 26 second laps and a 25 second lap...
I have a Pro sitting on my table ready to go. Planning on taking it to the track tomorrow. First thing I did was pull the electronics and engine out. Then went through the entire truck with loctite (seems they don't know how to do this at Hot Bodies). Also changed out the yellow watery stuff...
