Success, after swapping it over and priming and heating it. I got it started basically straight away :D idles really well so I shall start the break in tomorrow. Thanks for the help guys :)
Well I noticed something last night. The flywheel on my old engine is both bigger and has a "sharper" texture on the edge compared to the one I brought for the engine. I was thinking maybe if I swap the flywheels it might be a lot easier to turn the engine over. Because the flywheel at the...
I took the glow plug out and turned it over and span the engine, it still was really stiff. I've been reading around and I've read the engine when new is really stiff. The wheel would just end up slipping against the flywheel and cover the surroundings in rubber bits
So my engine and exhaust turned up yesterday and my clutch and flywheel turned up this morning. The engine looks amazing and I was really looking forward to breaking it in with the hope of using it tomorrow with my mates. Got the car all clean and fitted it all in to the car and then I got...
Thanks alot for the help guys. I ended up going for the novarossi p5 and pipe I linked above with the intentions at some point in the (hopefully) not too distant future of picking up one of the Extreme RC Mods pipes as they do seem very interesting. :)
So it seems the .21 is probably the one to go for which is the response I had a feeling was coming. I suppose the next question would be, is that particular novarossi engine any good? I would imagine for bashing (which might be worth mentioning, is off road on relatively big grass hills) it...
Hi all
Looking at buying a new engine for my buggy so I've been reading and reading but after days, I still just can't decide which one would be best. I don't use my car for any more than bashing so I thought a bigger engine such as a .28 or a .30 would be better for the more torque. However...
Ok, i think i may have found the problem, it seems like a solder join has broken. But it's odd as there is no damage to anything that was directly in contact with it. Over the circuit board, there was a really thin transparent yellow tape but that was completely fine along with the foam sort of...
Thanks sixtysixdeuce, I had a feeling that is was a broken connection but I didn't realise the balance leads are independent of the power leads, I thought they connected to the same ± and - connectors on the board as the proper leads. I shall have a look at the battery later.
Hi guys
So i was driving my truggy on Saturday and it randomly cut out. I thought that i had burnt out the speed controller or something along these lines as there was no way the batteries were below the ESC safe voltage as if they were, then the speed controller reduces the power, allowing you...
The problem I've got is that its the pinion gear in the front diff thats messed so i can't remove just the drive axles from the diff to the wheels because the main problem with the diff would still be there
what do you mean by 'would handle like crap'. I'm only a basher, i just drive it around a field so I'm not really worried about handling. I probably should of said, I've also got a rear diff on its way so I'm not too worried about that dying either as the new ones are strengthened.
Hi all
sorry if this has already been asked, I've got a 1/8 caster racing electric truggy, i brought it on december 10th or around that time, but the front diff was messed when i got it and I've had a new one on order since then, the shops been a nightmare with my order ect but to cut a long...

is it easier to get a 1/10 for £150 and if so, is it possible to get a 1/10 really fast (around 60mph is what i would like;)) for £150 if so , id get a 1/10 electric because they also allow them at my local track
Hi guys
I've owned a nitro buggy for a while and I'm thinking of going electric
id like to know what the best rc buggy or truggy is for a max of £150.
id like it to be as fast as possible for that money and preferably 1/8 scale and lipo
i dont mind getting a kit one and buying the motor...
The other thing that was bothering me with the ERCM exhaust is that I already run a tuned pipe so how much of an improvement would I get from swapping it with one of the ERCM exhausts, performance as well as sound wise.
Also, anyone who owns one, do you live in the UK and if so how much would...
