The instant kind sucks. Steel cut oats is the way to go. They have that in instant, but it's not as good either. My mom gets like 4 or 5 boxes when they are on sale

I am not a huge fan of it either, but it does leave me feeling pretty good throughout the day vs eating a breaky loaded with grease or high carb stuff.Yeah instant does suck, but still not a fan of oatmeal.
There's a significant difference, in health benefits, between instant oats and rolled oats. Rolled oats are the kind that is cooked in boiling water or left in liquid overnight to soften, to make it palatable. My mom gets like 4 or 5 boxes when they are on sale

I don't know what they do to make them instsnt oats, but it can't be good. They have the texture of old mush. The steel cut oats have a really good bite to them. I never cook my oats in the microwave either. That just destroys them. There's a significant difference, in health benefits, between instant oats and rolled oats. I believe they cook them and then dehydrate them. A lot, if not most, of the beneficial fibers is discarded with the water it was cooked in.I don't know what they do to make them instsnt oats, but it can't be good. They have the texture of old mush. That makes sense.I believe they cook them and then dehydrate them. A lot, if not most, of the beneficial fibers is discarded with the water it was cooked in.
The only thing missing is sea cockroaches, that was extremely unappetizing, just...why?
Yeah, I am not a big fan of boiled hotdogs. That doesn't look very appetizing. The only thing missing is sea cockroaches, that was extremely unappetizing, just...why?
I'm a fan of boiled and steamed hot dogs, but that dish is a hot mess, figuratively and literally!Yeah, I am not a big fan of boiled hotdogs. That doesn't look very appetizing.
Taking the McDonalds approach to the meat to bread ratio?
Yeah, tutkey isn't very good for your iron thingy I bet.Judging by the pic, yes but it was a good amount of bird in there.
In my defense there is health issues while practicing the more burger than bun routine.
I feel ya. I am at the point where I am considering trying only raw fruit and veggies for a couple weeks to see how I feel. My condition seems to be rapidly deteriorating. My joints are trying to dislocate on me, and it scares me to even walk now. So I gotta get drastic here I think. I have actually been going that direction though. I occasionally do eat unhealthy stuff, as you see in my posts here. But the times I don't share stuff I am usually just having a banana, or a couple Halo oranges.Yeah, there's some iron in there but healthy regardless.
I'm beginning to think anything I eat isn't good for me and I
eat healthy for the most part.
