the aluminum is crappy quality. its just given a face lift to make you want to buy it. also once aluminum bends it will not bend back it will just break if it gets bent back.
Go ahead and get RPM skid plates, arms and get the RPM tru-track for the rear of the truck. RPM is indestructible. i have also gotten their shock towers (mostly cause i could not find any replacement round body post. my truck was originally the old 2.5)

:) I've been following this topic as I have a T-Maxx and was thinking of puting a picco.26 into it, as you guys know,I can't get sh1t over here(IRELAND) for my Maxx . . so who is RPM and who sells them ,as I usually get my alloy parts from RCWorld on E-Bay, but there not that strong, front skid broke within a week.

RPM makes their products out of a blend of nylons (sp) and they are darn near impossible to break from normal wear and tear. Also, if it does break on you they will just about always replace it for free if you did not modify the part at all
You can get RPM off ebay or almost any other online hobby store. Here are a few links:

yeah i just found out the hard way had the integy kit on for about an hour and already broke all 4 posts that hold the body on 150 bucks not very well spent

Sorry you had to learn the hard way. also if you look at Integys warranty it says basically that if you install the parts on your truck the warranty is void. how full of bull is that?

ya screw them I'm actually tryin to buy a chasis that has the whole rpm set up for like 80 bucks for when i do break these things

yeah, that's unfortunate but I'll be honest I learned that way too. When you are upgrading your truck for durability you want to think about the job of any part that you are upgrading. Aluminum is great for some pieces like bulkheads but a very poor choice in other places like bumper supports, suspension arms and body posts. Those parts take a beating via a lot of leverage so it's actually better if they are made of a material that can give a little. That's why RPM is so popular (plus they have an outstanding warranty)

One of the better upgrades I found, besides the RPM upgrades, is a FOC. Without it, if you slowly roll on the throttle, the truck kind of jumps and the internal clutch engages. The FOC eliminates that jumping, or jerking, making the truck drive a lot smoother.
