Could anyone tell me if there are any advantages to using a K&N airfilter on a .21 engine. I have recently heard they can be washed, provide increased air flow thus reducing running temps..any truth in this?

If you plan to go play in the dirt, heard that its not that good cuz it let som' dirt go by...stick with a motor saver air filter, its better. Just my :2cents:

I second Boutchs' advice. I ran a K&N filter once. Repeat; ONCE. After I saw the dirt in the intake, I threw the filter as hard I could into a field of pigs.

K&N filters are for 1:1 cars, not 1/8th, 1/10th, etc. enuff said

Unless you're running a gasser like a Baja don't use the K&N. Get a good foam type filter like the Motor Saver.

Do NOT use K&N on RC cars, unless you want your engine to wear out quickly

I would not even use a K&N on a 5B or any other gasser.

RC's sit low to the ground and way too much dirt and dust can get at the filter.

This is why paper style filters fail on RC's.

Stick with foam filters and for added protection, put on an outerwears pre-filter.

K&n

Thanks Guys. I guess the K&N idea is binned!!!!
