I started an account on youtube. my user name is Powerboat454 if interested. I was wondering if anyone knew a free download to edit videos? Mostly take pics and make into slideshow, merge short clips together, and cut out parts that might show license plates and that.

thanks

If you're looking for downloads, either free, trial period or purchase, you'll find anything you want at CLICK HERE

I can't get the link to work, but it's tucows. Their logo is two cows. My first place for any downloads or reviews.

I didn't even know I had a Windows Movie Maker. I found that out by googling revies and looking for the free ones. It will do for now. If you checked out my youtube movies I added alot of short clips I had to make it a little longer. Check it out. I;m all proud! HAHAHA

I used Windows Movie Maker a few times, but it kept crashing when I tried to render video from my minidv camcorder. Ok, this is not a free program by any means, but I use Sony Vegas Movie Studio. If you get into editing and decide you really like it, the $100 for the Vegas Studio is well worth every penny. two short videos I edited with it from my June motorcycle trip. Simple editing, really, but the program can do TONS more. Even more than the entire editing bay at college back in 1993 could do.

Also, these two videos were rendered to dvd with NO LOSS of quality. (obviously with youtube you have to compress the video and this causes a huge loss of detail). The program also comes with a full-featured dvd authoring program. Anyway, just my 2 cents.
