Yes, 5000 Canaidan is roughly $3600US.

Ahh, the every growing list... In bold is what I bought in past 2 days, pics very soon:

P.S. This is just value of stuff I bought because of the conversion, I only put in about $3390CAD into the conversion. About 4500$ for the whole truck, and the value of the whole truck, is roughly 5,400CAD. That's a lot of cash. Oh, Value is what normal people would pay for the stuff in stores, in Canada, in Canadian funds.

P.P.S. I think there should be more. I paid 185$ for stuff on Monday, and I only calculated 149$ worth of stuff from that shop... Odd. I will look for the stuff later.

I have to make my own outdrive shafts, heh. Not much stuff left to buy, gearboxes are on order:

Alloy gearboxes
Alloy steering plate
Brakes
Some more bearings for the 2 speed CB
Doggies & Cups (Have a few cups to experiment with, the Savage ones look like they will be good)
O-Rings

That's it. Then we be rollin'!

Now. To describe stuff.

OK, you see how I have the turnbuckles now. Nothing but Titanium. I still need 2 for the rear.

I decided to not have 4WS, as it will just create uneeded play in the rear, which, when going at high speeds, will cost me dearly. The rear toe links will be fixed to posts that are attached to the rear towers.

I have to make some diff outdrive shafts. I will be using your standard steal, but I may decide to harden it after all is done and well. Onto that I will probably fit Savage joints, front and rear, an to the wheels I need something that is short enough so it does not hit the C-Hubs when turning or the suspension going up and down.

I need to grind off some of the dogbones heads because the 1/8 doggies have a hard time fitting through the C-Hubs.

I have a spare 3rd channel, and I was thinking of what kind of cool thing I can do with it... A little kid gave me an idea. I can have the buggy wing go up and down in the rear. Probably connected by another pair of Titanium turnbuckles to a servo that will lift the wing.

I had to take out the bearings from one engine's clutchbell and put it in the other, because the 2 speed bells do require 3 more bearing. 2 unflanged, and 1 flanged, for a total of 2 flanged, and 4 unflanged.

Right now I am "running" 13/49 in first, and 20/43 in 2nd. Well, more like 13/49/13 and 20/43/20. How many times do you get to say that? I need to slot the holes a bit further, or raise the engines a bit, or just get a different CB combo like 17/23. Can't really raise the engines as the starter box won't be able to reach them, don't wanna mess up any bits trying to lengthen the slots in 4mm Titanium, so, bigger CBs are the answer.

What else? Oh, the front, when turning the wheels lock to lock, the captured ends limit the angle of the direction of the wheels. I may opt to run balls and cups in the steering only, because they are thinner, but, at the same time, are a bit longer, which is what I need because I have a little issue of some toe-out up front.

What else? Umm, that's about it I believe.

:D I can't wait to drive it Faris!

OH MY GOD!!! SOMEONE STOLE MY IDEA!!!

Or not.

That is my truck, lol, just more colorful, and I didn't like that. Those are just pics that are a bit earlier. So I guess it's both me and the guy who built that truck that are gonna die?

In case you guys don't wanna look through all those pics, here are the best ones:

No doubt...but I've had this question since youve started...show car or speed demon?
Also...Why? Why spend soo much?

Oh he'll drive it. That was the point of making it I thought. Otherwise he would of stuck the two engines in without getting all the alluminum and special stuff until later or not at all.

Of course I'll drive it. But, not a lot, maybe a tank or 2 a week if even that. I'll just be so damn afraid to have it as my basher. lol.

I'll take a Greyhound bus up to Canada and man would I bash it for you!! No problem here man. I might even get you some fuel tubing for you also like I said I would :D Hot pink, our favorite color right?

lol, no, it's ok, already got the blue fuel tubing. You are of no use to me anymore... Well, if you come up here, maybe I'll let you clean one of the shocks, but no more... Actually, no, youwill sabotage it Jon, I will let you look at the truck. Be amazed, but from a distance. lol.

:flamer: I'll race you with my Micro

In the short amount of time i have been a member i dont remember ever seeing a post that long and that truck is pretty :censored: !*#(@ cool! This is what i think of it

:dancin: :dancin: :dancin: :dancin: :dancin: :dancin: :dancin: :dancin: :dancin:

Very tight truck i want to see some vids, but again, WHY?, that sucker will drain you of some serious gas!

Heh, thanks on the compliments. Just came back from a 3 day trip with the school, gotta drill the chassis and make my outdrive shafts. Then it's all BUY BUY BUY. Gotta pick up the alloy gearboxes as well, but working today and tomorrow, so I will probably pick them up Tuesday or something around there.

Why? Because I can :D

Oh, keep in mind I could've had the truck running with only like 1500$, but, I would much rather have it running without one stock part on it.

Humm... Figure I'll post an update finally, been doing so pretty well at the www.hpiforums.com.

I finally bought the alloy gearboxes. Now I have everything I need, except for some more clutchbells, rear aluminum braces, and dogbones. I am most likely going to get the dogbones machined by a shop. I cannot find any ones that re the right length. Probably drop another 200$ on just that for as many dogbones as I can. Darn money pit... Umm, bought brakes and stuff as you can see, highlighted stuff is what I bought. Again, the prices are just values, not what I paid for it. Total for the conversion to date is 3750$.

Another update. The truck is ALMOST ready to run. I basically assembled everything that needs assembling, now I am just waiting for my dad to come from work with the dremel so I can dremel at the chassis, so that the alloy gearboxes will fit. The hole in the chassis does not match the part that sticks out on the bottom of the gearboxes. Must make hole bigger.

Also, the brakes I bought are a tad too large in diameter. When I put them on, the screws that hold the brake pads on rub against the rotors. So, my dad took them to work as well to take off about 2mm around. No biggie. I can't find 2 of my brake pads though So I only have 2 for now to work with. Oh, the rotors/ discs are fiber, not metal. I will be running most likely one in the front, and one in the rear.

Assembled the diffs as well. Packed them with 50,000W Silicone oil, that was fun to watch the oil contour to all the little grooves in the diff cases. That went without a hinch. Also, bought these silver HPI outdrives, which are supposedly the Rush outdrives, or at least stronger than stock. Using those right now. Also the RTR 3 spider gears. 13T and 38T finals too. Now all I need really is those dogbones. Man, I am gonna kill myself when I see how much they are gonna run me. Ah well, I'm the one that dropped $4,800CAD into the NMT in the first place

The steering is all assembled, got the Kimbrough servo saver, that works like a charm. Everything is super smooth except for the ball ends. But hey, I don't want them smooth, they will break themselves in, no need for a drill or anything to make them fit better in the cups.

I'm running the shocks in the outer most hole in the Kolor-raft shock towers, and the inner most hole on the A-Arms, front and rear, well, rear and rear lol. Also, the shock towers required a little bit of persuasion to fit over the alloy gearboxes,as aluminum doesn't tend to bend as much as plastic can. After about 30 mins of filing at the 3.2mm Titanium, they fit. The 2nd tower only took about 10 minutes of filing. Yay. In both towers, 3 screws went in fine, and one had to be "persuaded" to go in. As a matter of fact, I couldn't even fit one through, so, I put in the opposite way, and secured it with a 3mm lock nut. I like symmetry, so I did the same to the other screw on the opposite side. You will see in the pictures which will come soon enough

What else? Umm, yeah, all that is keeping the truck from running right now is really the dogbones. Everything else is figured out. I just have to buy the bigger CBs, and the alloy rear braces. That is it. We are almost there The truck really looks amazing right now.

Oh, I guess I should say I have body posts as well. Borrowed them from work. Found these cool looking things that can be used as long body posts, so took like 10 of them. Paradox took like 8. lol. Have to find a place to mount those. And, just one more hole in the chassis to drill for the antenna. Heh, the truck really looks amazing. I cannot tell you how amazing it looks. It's unbelieveable. Oh. Also, I was just thinking, and I may after all do the 4 wheel steering. I can see how I can fit bell cranks in the rear, but that is for a later date.

And the buggy wing will be put on a little later, but it will be there, don't worry.
