so I'm testing it after using the program card, and i notice... my front wheels arent turning. after a momentary heart palpitaion i think about it and look at driveshaft... effing pin is missing so the front shaft aint spinnin..... ordered a new set, should be here in a few days. i tried the programming card and setting the nuetal range to 12%. still doing the twitch thing. i can hear it even with the shell on now. once I've heard it i shall never not hear it i believe.....
whike testing it out tho i accidentally found out the ess dual fits perfectly in the rock pirates flatbed..... i may end up moving the speaker there. i dunno. i dig the looks as is. I'm ordering another body and doing a better job painting this one as ill be taking my time first.
does airbrush paint HAVE to be used in an airbrush? or will any paint psrayer work? not like wall sprayer mind you, i mean the sprayer from an outo body shop. a friend wants to try his hand at painting the next body and he paints cars for a living, but thats metal and a little different process than our backwards last layer first method. butr if his sprayer would work that would open hella doors of color to me. if possible and i do this id also be sending the shock towers so they will match. nice little barter his expertise for mine no cost other than the pain. which is why I'm asking lol that adds up quickly.
I'm leaning towards the rootbeer candy i believe @doom suggested that and its been rolling around my head since then honestly
whats the largest tires i can put on her? id like some more grip. these proline i dont remembers work great but not for the terrain I'm running on i guess? it switches from loose soil to smooth stone frequently.
i ramble
one final thought for the night.
can i put 4 wheel steer on the ecto?
just get front links and swap em out with a servo on the rear axle like i did the redcat? what couldnt i? just cause i havent found a youtube video on it yet?

since the ecto is down for a bit while i wait on the screw i lost somehow, (driveshaft screw) i decided to go ahead and take apart the axles

Mmmmm blueberry flavored. 😋 on my crawlers I usually pack them until it oozes out. But they also drive for miles at a time.

i was afraid of using too much, in a lot of the videos i watched people said not to over pack the case, i can add more? the axles didnt come apart, so i squeezed and pushed it down into the axle housing i 100% could have added at least 3 times what i did, but was afraid of over packing. ill make sure to pack the front better.
on the plus side. did you notice how clean iot was inside? it didn't look like it ever had any water get in at all. I'm sure it has tho. weird

I never had a problem. My scx10ii has been on a 12 mile drive. I pack it full as well as the axle tubes. I do that for the wet and muddy days.

I do test it by hand to make sure it's not strained.

Your supposed to put grease in there? 🤔 :p🤣
Either that or peanut butter. Peanut butter is best. Just make sure you have some Ritz crackers at your workbench whenever you pull it apart 😁

Sweeet looking Ecto, color is awesome. Fusion is a great upgrade. A lot of times I keep the trigger pull constant at slow speed and that motor will just march along steady and smooth. And no esc to mount is nice too. :thumbs-up:

For real it was nice and it let me easily reposition my battery to where the old esc sat
Still trying to adjust the settings with the card

Got a set of weighted deadlocks on today
I think k they look pretty clean on the ecto
They are heavy boys and I added weights to the insert as well
Am trying to find my scale to see what it actually weighs
Hopefully this helps me keep that front end down and biting

oof i need a new body, this ones looking rough. i love it

i did the front bumper shortening on the ecto, I really like the look AND function of this free mod,
chopped 10mm off the chassis rails as well as another 7-8 mm off of the bumper,

the new tires and extra weight really help her out, the wider stance makes the crack difficult

but more importantly
i pushed this tire a few times lol, its got some power

Great vids, the crack does look like a killer obstacle. If it were easy it wouldn't be fun. Love that you and your son get to have a good time together. :) course is starting to take shape. :thumbs-up:
