Thought I'd post up my father and I's 1:1 scale projects! We started the '55 when I was a Junior in college and finished it up a few years later. The '33 was next. I moved to VA and went home on a few weekends and a week or two over the span of 3 yrs. Now, we're working on a "tow" truck for the '33. We drive it to most shows, but for the long hauls, it gets put on the trailer.

So here's what we've got:

'33 Ford Rat Glass bodied Coupe
Lava Mist Pearl Metallic
Chevy SB 355/350 Trannie
Double Hump Heads
dual 4 barrel carbs
Sanderson Headers
MSD Ignition
Vintage Air
B Cool Radiator and burp tank
15x4 ET Gasser Wheels up front, 18x10 Billet Specialties Vintec Wheels in back.
9" Ford Rear end
Late 90's Caddie tail lights
Custom built chassis
4" drop drilled front axle
Interior by Brodie

very clean! I'm not an old car guy personally but those are very impressive peices of work...great job.

I like that 55  I want to see the Stude pick-up. The only bad thing I can say about any of them, they need bigger engines and something other than Chevy! :D That Stude needs am old 392 Hemi! :)

Hop in the '33 and you'll think differently! Just because they're 355's, doesn't mean they don't put out! You put a 400+ HP motor in a fiberglass-bodied two seater and you better hang on!

My Dad and I built a Shelby Cobra Kit when I got out of the Marine Corps. Fiberglass Body + Tube frame + 427 crate engine = WHIPLASH at every traffic light :D After a while the street tuners wouldn't even race me lol

i don't have any classics but i got two drag cars..

86(i think 86)ford thunderbird,
full tube chassis,
fiberglass body,
small block 351w bored out to 427(makes 862hp at back wheels),
4 speed lenco transmision:

the other is:
76(i think 76)ford mustang
stock chassis built into full tube then extended 11inches in front,
stock body hallowed then extended 11inches in front fenders,
runs the same engine thats in the other car,
2 speed automatic transmision:
no pics of this car at this time.

me and my dad built both of these cars together

Your Dad lets you drive that? He must really love you!

ya we take turns lol...i manly drive the other one though because then i don't have to use a throttle stop cause it runs 9.16sec wide open..with the same engine as this one..and its easyier because i don't have to sit at the line holding the 400psi clutch in lol

only at my local drag track that lets me test when ever i want because i'm good friends with the owner but i have to sign a wager thing saying it's our own problem if i get hurt.

lol you mean waiver?
