Oneill Brothers reed kit

Installed a reed kit yesterday but it seems that the engine is not getting any gas. Would only try to run if I poured a little gas in the cylinder. The only thing I can think of is the first part you bolt on to the cylinder blocks off the small bottom hole. I know when I reversed the gasket on a regular setup the engine would not start. Does anybody know why it would be any different that the small hole is purposely blocked off with the reed kit?

it shoulnt be, the small hole should run thru the reed cage i think into the carb. do you have a pic or a link to the items you have?

If you go to oneillbrothers.com and click on reed they will show the parts. Anyways was able to get it running today with the 668 carb. Will try the 813 tomorrow.
