How is this possible I’m seeing the northern lights from southeast Arkansas The camera enhances it a lot

NW Washington, the cloudiest place in North America. It's clear tonight and I'll be out in about an hour.
 
Cloudy here. Can't see anything, so thanks for sharing. As cool as it is, it's really scary that the charged particles from the sun are that strong. The damage they could do could set us back to the stone ages in the blink of an eye.
 
The sky was light orange over Georgia last night, like in a strip over my house.
 
I'm not sure what I was looking at. A mild glow at the horizon, it might just be White Rock I'm seeing. I'm hoping for better luck tonight.
 
The wife and I are driving out to Lookout mt about a 4.5 hour drive. grabbing some Ivas chicken dinners and hopping for clear skies tonight
