I have a UDIRC car that’s probably in between toy grade and hobby grade. It’s pretty fast. The wheels have unusual dimensions.

I‘d Like to mount these on it:

It appears the 12mm hex requirement might be an issue.

If I use these with the wheels, wouldn’t it work?

Those aluminum hexes have to large of an ID and if they are indeed for a Traxxas it is going to be 5mm, the specs for your car say the stub axle is 3mm.
That’s good news, if I’m understanding this. The stub axle (part 1601-027 below) is too small and will be loose inside the Traxxas wheel wheel and the 12mm Traxxas aluminum hex part. That would cause wobbly wheels however I think I could make that work somehow.

If I understand correctly, it’ll fit but too loosely?

Just an idea, but, what about using Losi Mini-T or Mini-B hexes: https://www.amainhobbies.com/losi-m...apraSN0OdjBzOW_-98t8WbmkknY6347hoCe1oQAvD_BwE which are 8MM, and then using these 8MM to 12MM adapter's: https://www.ebay.com/itm/325192885337?chn=ps&_trkparms=ispr=1&amdata=enc:17S1Bwi-YTTKzJ69sLKdaGw3&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&mkscid=101&itemid=325192885337&targetid=1584739239014&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=9005776&poi=&campaignid=19894961968&mkgroupid=148855406073&rlsatarget=pla-1584739239014&abcId=9307911&merchantid=603885783&gclid=CjwKCAjw-b-kBhB-EiwA4fvKrItSrCsDnNxGu6o78tuKAg-5ZwIewCf34Ge7hOrJs6Y19fLKxxLTsRoCetMQAvD_BwE
or these: https://www.ebay.com/itm/333850652622

EDIT: An option i used a few years ago for a robot build i did, that i forgot about, were these: https://www.pololu.com/product/2682 They are 17MM long, but, if you have access to a vise and a good saw, you can cut them shorter. How i did it was cut them shorter, then rethread the end, and locktite a machine screw in the end, and cut the head off to put a nut on.

Thanks for the ideas, biggman100! There seems to be an adapter and or a workaround for everything if you look hard enough. I’m still not certain I could make it work.

I’m beginning to think I should just buy a Traxxas eRevo and mount them on that Instead.

Just eyeballing those tires/wheels - the diameter is the same as the stock tires/wheels. The hole that the axle goes thru sure looks pretty close.

I’m tempted to just buy them and see what I can do.

I’ll let you guys know what happens….
