Should work just fine as long as your Spec 3 is the bumpstart version.

Ooooo, :-(, think I bought it with a pullstart, that broke so I threw on my rotostart from my old savage. Works but it's a pain!

As long as it sits low enough in the chassis....a bumpbox will still work on a pullstart engine. You can just swap the backplate out. The pullstarts tend to be a bit taller though making bumping them near impossible. Depends on the engine itself though.
That OFNA Truggy box is *THE* bump box to have though for Buggy or Truggy. Toss a 4s LIPO it in....and call it a day. It will start anything.....
