THE SUBJECT: My father, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa (Now Late) was the Royal

Trust Fund, He made a lot of money which he left for me as the only heir
to inherit after his death. The total money behind for me is US$12 Million
USD (Twelve Million United States Dollars only). This Money was originated
from the accumulated royalties between 1976-2001. Due to poor banking
system in Nigeria and political instability as a result of past Military
rules (1985-1999) , He deposited this Money in a safe VAULTS/STRONG ROOM
of a Bank, Pending when he would finish arrangement to transfer it
abroad. He was planning to do this when he died late last year of Heart

THE PROPOSAL: Just before my father died he called my attention to the
money and charged me to look for a foreigner who would assist me in the
claiming and proper investment of the funds abroad. Therefore l would be
very grateful if you could accept to help me achieve this great objective.
I promise to give you a 30% of the total funds immediatetly after claiming
it from the security company as a compensation for your assistance. 10%
would be set aside to take care of all expenses we may incure during this

in your name and also protect you from any breach of the law in your
country and here in africa.

It is a scam and not one to mess with either. Plenty of info out there on the nigerian scam if you search for it. To put it breifly, they require you to put up some money in an account first and then they take it and your done. There has also been reports of people disapearing over this one. Those people, in an interest to not get scammed, actually went to Nigeria to complete the transaction. This one is quite old also.

yeah this one's an oldie....either you put a little in an account and they take it.....or you give them your account numbers  so they can depoisit the kagilliantrillianzilian snarf snarf's into your account...witch of course is emptyed imediatly

bad deal....i dont do anything with people / companys that call or email me unless i contacted them first :flamer: spamers telemarketers :sniper:

How it gets to you is your email gets picked up on a web page from an email spider, or you download free apps and have to enter your email addy to get it, or adware, spyware and viruses, or any number of various seemingly benign places you enter your email and they are really fronts for "capturing email addresses." Forums can be one of them.

The one that gets my goat is "fritterware." Fritterware is free software or games that "look" like they might be useful, when you download them and run them there's lots of controls and buttons that "look" like they might be doing something, but in reality it's more trouble to use the program than it's worth. Fritterware and other free program and free graphic areas are rich planting beds for viruses and email miners.

There is an FBI email addy you're supposed to forward all variations of the Nigerian Email Scam to, but I am old and have forgotten it. :D

cool thanks for the info. I'm typically pretty carefull about who has my email address, and this is the only spam i get.

Why couldnt the government respond to this and send a special forces troop in place of the civilian to make the transaction, if there has been innocent, ok dumb but innocent, people disappearing over this poop thats pretty serious to me. I say we kick some 3rd world country ass!

Bring a boom and meet them! Now who is talking huh.

I work in the trade show industry and it never fails on our larger shows that someone from nigeria sucks 10-50K out of a scam for registering somehow.

Now, we won't let people register from certain countries via the internet or a hard copy form. If they want to attend, they have to show up at the event and pay in cash.

The old saying if its to good to be true.

I've gotten that Email 3 times, the first being almost 5 years ago. Not knowing how they got a new Email address of mine, and knowing that it would be too good to be true, I just deleted them.
Good link, HB.

I've gotten them a few weeks ago to. I emailed hi back and told him to "Eat a *ick". Id delete em, block em or even report them
