tq3 transmitter to tq 2.4ghz

i new to this and i need some help

i have a t maxx 4908 with the tq3 transmitter and i want to upgrade to traxxas 2238 2.4ghz, what all do i need to get ths working?

As long as the new radio has the 3rd position 3rd channel switch to use for reverse like your tq3 does, then you just need the new radio and reciever and you should be set.

Umm. My t maxx doesn't have reverse. Also what reciver do i need for the 2.4ghz transmitter?

You would need either the 2217 or 2218.

I would scrap the Traxxas radio and receiver and get a Futaba. Its a much better radio. The traxxas radios that get came with my tmaxx and rustler were junk. Just my opinion.
