I know this is an old thread, but what did you use for the custom plastic bumper? Did you modify one that existed or make it from scratch?

It was off a huge tyco truck that no longer worked and for some reason I saved the bumpers

Go look for old plastic RC cars at garage sales. You will find all sorts of stuff.
