"THE HILL" opens in Okinawa!

I am happy to say that after many months of work "The Hill" Rc track on USMC Camp Courtny will have its grand opening this weekend!
Here is a picture of the 1/8 scale track. This was built mostly by hand by members of Team PORN (Pacific Off-Road Nitro). We also have a 1/10, kiddie track and a rock course in build. Woo hoo a place to play in the dirt!

Layout is very similar to a newly opened club track that is a 1/2 hour from my house. A storage container is used for the drivers stand with the 5th scale track on one side and the 8th/10th scale track on the other. Stand is railed with a ships ladder for access and the framing for a shade canopy.

There are just no tracks worth driving to around here. Too many immature people driving.

You need to post bashing pics there. Will there be any leagues to join or is this open to anyone?

It is open to everyone for the most part but there will be leagues of sort. More of club racing and such. So far we will have a Stock Slash class, 1/8 Buggy, 1/8 Truggy and for jokes an open MT class. The MT class look pretty goofy as compared to the almost graceful buggies/truggies. But really what it is all about is fun for our troops here and something for the younger guys to do that send all their money on beer, women and the rest they just waste. I have a couple shots from last weekend I can post up.
