shocks maintenance

I was just wonderin if i could use WD40 to oil the shocks or i really need a special oil to lube those...

You will need to use the silicone shock oil. Trinity is what I use.

do you want to clean them? or replace the shock oil , cause what he is suggesting is th oil that goes into the shocks themselves i believe. so i think he wants to know how to clean them and what to use.

Didn't HPI use SAE 30 weight motor oil in their stock shocks?

what they send you with the x ss kit looks like sae oil.

The guy at lhs said that i can mix equally 10wt and 40wt to obtain what i need for the savage's shocks

to fix that cleaning problem , buy some shock covers, save alot of cleaning time and are very inexpensive.
