I'm doing a revo nitro converting to electric. I want to use LiPos but I've noticed there will be very little protection for the batteries. You guys have any suggestions as what to use to give the LiPos better protection?

You can use hard cased LiPo's if you want better protection.

You can also cushion them by sticking 1/8" thick foam that can be found at any craft store on all sides of the pack.

I have ran both hard cased and non-cased LiPo's and never had a problem. You basically just need to make sure the pack is secured and can't flop around. I use dense foam blocks for this.

Hyster, there isn't much protection for the packs on my pede either. I used foam as Rob mentioned, but also cut some scrap lexan from an old body to place under my packs (my chassis has reliefs cut into it all along the length of it) to prevent sticks and small stuff from puncturing the pack.

Thanks guys. I like both bits of info. Can you get lexon in sheets somewhere?
