LMAO, I guess the one in Sly's second pic is about ready to hatch (via a good hard squeeze).

Ever seen the FlyPower site?

No BS fly powered airplanes.

I head these things are uber dangerous arround tall and/or odd shaped buildings. And they work from the ground floor up.

I guess you could say flash is lending creedance to the other guy thru sheer stupidity. Anything less stupid sounds perfectly plausable.
Hey just like my fly airplane.

No. That's not what we're looking for. Everyone watched, on live TV, when Lee Harvey Oswald was shot by Jack Ruby. Any other opinions there? No. And I wouldn't bother to argue with someone who said Bobby Kennedy did it for revenge.
We are not arguing with you, just trying to let you know that you have the wrong facts. It was all on live TV, and there's no discussion or opinion that will ever change what happened.

Hmmm, silly question here, but what happens when those microscopic little rotor blades hit a red or white blood cell?
And....what's between the blood cells, good air to fly in?
Ha, yeah. It's a shame they can't make these supposed mini helicopters attack disease. I bet one of those Hellfires would clear up some West Nile Virus in no time!

OK, I was flying in my yard yesterday when terrorists hijacked my transmitter and crashed my plane into the 'agave towers'. As you can see it did not collapse from the bottom up. But when I shook the tower, the plane fell straight down and broke the prop. Now if it had been going 500 mph, there would be far less wreckage...

Did you ever notice that the "blowing flag" has a rod in the top of it? They put a rod in the top and this rod was supposed to telescope out to hold the flag. Supposedly they couldn't get the rod to fully extend and it makes the flag look wrinkled. I'm just glad there isn't a white plastic chair in one of those moon pics. Seriously, you don't think anyone has been on the moon?

HAHA.

If you read later I said there is way more evidence we were on the moon rather than not.....................

All I can say is I got $5 that says you can't get it to stick in the agave plant again

Wag The Dog.
It was all make believe. The Government made it all up so we could go in and justify military action in the Middle East.

Not!

Fortunately for you, scottm, it was not a nitro fueled plane, or the resulting fire on top of the Agave plant would have caused the roots to collapse.

Although scottm's post is humorous, here's an E-mail I just received from my R/C flying club.

Subject: Security Advisory

Date: Tue, 31 Aug 2004 20:53:14 -0400

Gentlemen:

At least three modelers in District III have been contacted by the FBI

pertaining to modeling. Please read the following and advise anyone you know

to cooperate with the authorities.

Security Advisory

(Added 8/31/04)

During the past few months there has been an increase in reports of the

possibility of more numerous terrorist attacks and the threat of more

attacks on U.S. soil. In turn this has prompted law-enforcement and security

agencies to become more aware and observant of activities they perceive as

having the potential for terrorist use. Model aviation, as we are fully

aware, is included in such a list. Therefore we are issuing this advisory.

First and most importantly, cooperate. Once the representative(s) have

established their identity-and any legitimate officer or investigator will

do this-cooperate by answering their questions honestly, politely, and with

care. Please take these inquiries seriously and don't forget the impact your

answers and attitude could have on your flying privileges not only locally

but nationally.

These are the times to give factual information and not the time to brag

on your "modeling exploits." Even though you are answering questions to

determine the security risk model airplanes may pose, you may also be

answering questions asked by people who have never experienced our sport.

You may be teaching them about the activity they are investigating and if

that is the case you want them to be well informed so they can fully

appreciate what our activity is about.

Second, always remember to direct them to the Academy of Model

Aeronautics, your national organization, for any additional information they

may need. We have a good rapport with the agencies responsible and will be

more than willing to assist at any level necessary. Establishing a good

working relationship with such agencies is important not only to our

national security but to our efforts to maintain our privilege to continue

participating in the sport we all cherish.

We have included a copy of the Media Advisory which AMA issued in April,

2003, with this Security Advisory for your review. Should you be approached

by members of the media please keep the points made in the document below in

mind.

Media Advisory: We are sending this advisory as a result of recent events

involving the news media making contact with local AMA Chartered Clubs or

individuals.

In today's tense atmosphere of terrorist threats, possible military

actions, etc., there appears to be exuberance on the part of news agencies

and individual reporters to gather information concerning the use of model

aircraft as possible security risks. Many times, in an effort to take

advantage of the opportunity to garner some public exposure for their local

flying activities, the members are surprised when the news release does not

resemble what they had assumed would be published. This results in negative

press for the sport and local participants, and may spread misinformation.

As a service to all AMA Chartered Clubs, we are suggesting that if you or

your club are contacted by TV, radio, newspaper, or Internet reporters for

interviews-other than coverage of such activities as fly-ins, mall shows,

airport-awareness days, etc.-you direct them to the AMA Headquarters for

information. If in doubt, please error on the side of caution.

Our main purpose for the Advisory was to bring the matter to the attention

of our members and remind them of how important it is to be cautious when

giving interviews during these times. We are all aware of how communications

can be misunderstood or misinterpreted and how reporters can sometimes

inject their own perceptions. All we can ask is that anyone speaking on

behalf of our modeling activities be aware of what the consequences of their

words might be.

At any time, please contact Jay Mealy at AMA Headquarters with questions,

comments, or concerns.

Jay Mealy

Why stop at airplanes? Was it a Clint Eastwood flick where a guy used an RC car to blow up his victims (one of the Dirty Harry films I think, or was it another one).

I think Homeland Security is going a little too far, but at least we have someone paying attention now. I think We the people should be able to keep HS in check though. I am a bread and butter american and I will not see my rights taken away in the name of security. My opinion is they should be able to keep a handle on terror without the hands all over my constitutional rights.

The military is actually using E-Maxxes to do some search and video missions. I've been sending alot of wheelie bars and ramair hoods to Iraq and Kuwait APOs. These guys say they are using thier own money to hop-up the E-Maxxes, so the kids won't be afraid of the trucks.

I think we should close this thread. I didn't mean to start a flame war.

The way I see it is that if your not doing anything wrong (and we all know when we are doing something wrong) you really do not need to be concerned with our "rights" being trampled on. I know a lot of people made a big stink when they decided it was ok to intercept anyones communications (mail, phone calls, emails, etc.) without so much as a warrant. Well, other than the countless porn emails and offers for cheap medication I get, I could care less what they look at of mine, like I'm that interesting to the feds anyway.

Now, don't get me wrong, I will be the first one to spout off when they overstep my bounderies but until then, they can do anything they want to protect the people of this country, IMHO. In fact, if we had a union had my office, I have no doubt I would be elected union president as I am always looked to when our company is trying to pull one over in new contracts, rules, etc.

I do plenty of stuff wrong and it's non of the gov'ments business. I am not a terrorist nor do I do anything to hurt anyone and should be left be. If those SOB's were doing their job correctly in the first place this would have never happened. We had knowledge, did nothing and that is public knowledge now. Just because our government fiddlesticked up and did not pay attention we now need to be worried about flying our planes and driving our trucks? That is CRAZY TALK. I for one will not give up ANY on my CONSTATUTIONAL RIGHTS for anything or anybody period, I would DIE for them...........................

No way Rob, this is the best thread going right now!

Error, it was a Clint movie, Dead Pool. I heard once what the car was, if I remember right a 1/8 scale Kyosho road car.

I'm not sure what part of the constitution protects our "rights" to opperate RC cars n planes and yes, I would fight against any actions taken that would wrongfully condemn RC's. As for what you do "wrong" I am not sure what that is and nor do I care as long as your not hurting anyone as you said. Now if it is something that is against the law, then your wrong, it is their business to uphold the laws that we have in the country and if you do not like a particular law, make sure your voice is heard on it, otherwise, stop mumbling.

That's the one Scott.

Buncrana, it's the right to persue happiness (as in Life, Liberty, and the ...) Sadly, all it takes now is the percieved threat to life or liberty to stamp out someone elses persuit of happiness.

Once upon a time I used to fly r/c planes and helis at this bigassed park here in town. I am an AMA member, and always flew within the guidelines of safety (being in a public park with free roaming pedestrians and pets). Now mix in some other guys that didn't think so safety conciously, and a couple of wacko neighbors and you know what happened? Suffice it to say that it is now against the law to fly anything other than a kite and a paper airplane in that park. Noone ever got hurt, no property ever got damaged by any planes or helis, but the percieved threat of danger was enough to get the whole lot of us banned from there.

Do you speed? I do, I drive hella fast. Isn't that against the law? Well can you see my point? The government is not my moral judge, my god is, now god can judge me for the wrong I do not the law or the government. If I were to cheat on my wife, now that is morally wrong but will I go to jail, am I a threat to national security? Chew on that.

I'm all for the right to pursue hapiness but just as you said, only takes one butthead to ruin the hapiness for everyone else. Now, no matter how safe and how conciensous you may be, you can't fly there. Same thing (on a much larger scale) is now happening with our privacy and liberties. Hey, I may want to clip my toe nails and slice off my crusty dead skin from the soles of my feet while on a trans-atlantic flight, all the while smoking a ciggarette but, some jerks had to take advantage and no more blades or smokes on the planes. You got two choices with all this stuff, piss and moan now and in the future or do somthing to prevent anything that may take away our priveledges of using RC's. That email that went out from the AMA is a good way to help prevent things from happening. You do not want the general public thinking the opperators of RC's are dangerous so no joking with reporters on stupid thigs we have done.

Uh, God told you to drive fast? Sometimes I hear voices that say the same thing, but I'm pretty much convinced that it's the ghost of Mark Twain and not God.
