anyone using this motor?
i can't seem to keep my temp down. when i am tuned in for max power, i am running 270-290. it doesn't seem boggy or anything, but i don't want to trash my engine.
anyone have any thoughts on this?

mine runs around 270-290 also but i make sure to take verry good care of her using after run oil and making sure she isent at tds when I'm not running .

I'm using traxxas 20% with a trinity pipe with the stinger out. with a 2 stage air filter.

i used the engine at those temps for about a year with no problems at all. no loss of power i upgraded to a os 30.vg. the last few months .

i pulled apart the .18tm. man it was so clean inside and great compression.

270-290 sounds kind of high for an OS. My 18TM runs around 220-250 generally.

I wonder if something is dragging in your drive train. Like a blown bearing or something.
