Hi guys, just made a post in another thread and it made me think of a build I did last summer, can't remember if I posted it but there is no thread with this heading so I decided to post up some pics, and share my build
Came stock with what seems to be a hobbywing max 10 sct with a big 8 on the fan to ensure it can push an 1/8th scale truck with huge heavy tires.
Honestly it was near impossible to handle and full throttle was quite tricky. So I thought a quick run 8bl150 would be better with a hobbywing 2200kv 4274 motor.
The esc was bigger so I made a plate by bending an aluminum flat bar then using alein tape two sided tape to hold that bracket to the frame and esc to it. You can pick up the truck by the esc and shake it and it holds firm! The big motor was just longer so no issue and used the stock pinion.
I broke a shock cap and front axle during the winter so I put vitavon axle, bars and servo on axle, then I made longer brackets and installed big bore shocks from a savage I had sitting around. Came out good and I can't barely keep the wheels on the ground even on 4s. But I just need too much power or it's never enough.lol
Did the drywall tape and shoe goo treatment to tepair and strenghten the allready ripping apart body.
