The only thing that you might need is shorter shocks unless you plan on running a droop setup like in the picture.

i dont want it as tall as it is now but whats a good mm shock so I can get it ordered for this package?

Since your not changing chassis, theres no reason you would need to change shocks until you do in my opinion.

But I am, I ordered the entire package with the SNG chassis

I think a 90mm is what I am using now, I will measure them and let you know...

Okay I am nearing completion of my ax10 but I need to know what the diff is between 3link and a 4link setup, I'm looking into a 4link. I am also lookin for a huge crawler part super online market. I have 3-4 shopping carts with stuff I'm getting from 3-4 diff sites.
Also does traxxas make a radio that can be setup with a dig like switch? If so which one I am looking into dig kits as well.

Thanks guys!

PS- I want to get a diff gear setup for my axles, someone told me have the front turn faster is better for wedged climbs but dont know for sure or what they are called...

4 link helps rid torque twist and also plays a big factor in antisquat. I dont have time to link anything right now but I'll try later. A traxxas tq3 can have a 3 position switch added in just a few minutes, super duper easy to do...but still a fm radio which sucks.

And yes, getting the different gears for the rear slows it down compared to the front. I'll try to find some later too unless Curtis hops on and beats me too it.

Ok I guess it is time to chime in, LOL!!!!

A great place to get crawler parts is http://www.tcscrawlers.com/
As for the diff gears I would go slower in the rear and get the stock heavy duty for the front, here is a link to both
Front gears

Rear gears

I used this 4 link plate for the rear and it worked great

For the front I would recommend the BTA steering set up I run in combination with VP high steer knuckles, the BTA steering set up gives you a 4 link for the front and moves the steering linkage out of the way behind the axle so it does not hit on the rocks and also give you a place the mount a small lipo battery on the front axle.

Not sure what else you trying to do but hope that helps you out.

Will that vp bta kit work with Axial hi-clearance knuckles, I dont wanna have to replace parts I have already replaced. Whats a good shock length for the sng chassis? I like droop but like regular better :)

90mm is a good length for them on the sng.

I'm going with the axial bta kit but whats a nice length servo arm for this setup? Ordering everything as we speak

Probably 1" on the servo horn, preferably aluminum, if you already have the Axial Hi Clearance knuckles then I guess just get there BTA kit, I don't know if they would be compatible, the only down fall to the Axial version is there is no 4 link holes on there servo battery plate.

Best deal I found for it

but it comes with knuckles.

haha actually the site u linked had a axial compatable kit. I'm super stoked to get this stuff. I've never modified rcs untill my ax10:D

Yeah I linked you to the BTA steering kit you said you wanted to get, LOL!!, I just prefer the LD BTA steering kit used with VP knuckles because it also adds the ability to run a 4 link set-up in the front and the Axial version doesn't.

Okay, just ordered my rear 4link and diff gear sets, now wondering if any company manufactures an aluminum axle set for the ax10 & is compatible with my bta steering kit?
Thanks guys!

Are you talking about the housings for the axles, if so they will add a ton of weight to the rig but they are available.

Awesome guys thanks alot! Anything on why my rig makes a card in bike tire clap, when engaged?

What kind of tires, rims n weights are you guys using?

-Killer

i run panther tires just got them yesterday with memory foam and havent decided what kinda of wieght i am going to put on it yet

Okay when I'm at low throttle it glitches out or pulses a faster throttle, and most of the time my reverse cuts out until i engage forward/brake back into reverse, any ideas why? I run 27mhz am traxxas tx/rx could that be why? THX
