The MBX R2 80% comes with a .21 sized engine. The Ultra MBX Pro comes with a .25 sized engine. According to Ofna, it's a "big block" engine. Does that mean that the Ultra MBX pro was designed differently in order to hold a larger engine? Or can this size engine (or larger) fit in the MBX R-2 80% hold a "big block" engine as well?

hey... you have 2 posts about the "Ofna" cars that you want. These questions are easily researchable by other websites. But... yes.. a .25 will fit in the mbx r2. Any 8th scale buggy can fit a .21 and up engine just about.

yes - the engine will fit. these cars are the exact same model, the only difference being that the R2 comes with a .21 in order to be legal for racing. All .21 and up mills are considered big blocks.

Just to clear sumtin up. A .21, 24-7, .25, .26, .27 all use the same engine block or crank case whatever the proper name is for the casing of the engine. Where you get the different dispacment is from how big the hole for the piston and sleeve are. So all these engines sizes will mount up to a buggy chassis that excepts .21 engines

excepts .21 engines

haha........ excepts is supposed to be accepts. Just messin' w/ ya blazer, who gives a $#!+ about grammar?
