.28 Nitro-Engine for my 1:8 Buggy !?

I can choose between two engines:

KYOSHO GXR28 PULLSTART ENGINE

LRP ( Associated ) Z.28R SPEC.3 TRUGGY

I don` know the exact specifications of GXR28 like rpms,hp ...

I'm fairly sure the LRP will spank the Kyosho all over...

I have a LRP28S3 in my aftershock. Nutty power and really good revs.

The GXR28 is a RTR engine which are typically ok, but nothing spectacular. I can't find that engine to find any specs for it. All I find on the XRC dyno list is a Kyosho GS-R28, which has much weaker numbers than the LRP on the same dyno.

Ok... I've looked and I can't find the specific list on their own site. Their search feature blows. It won't let you search for anything smaller than 4 characters, which LRP is too small and yields no results.

I found the issue where the LRPZ28S3 truggy engine was dyno'd, May 2007. Took a snap of it:

I had the lrp motor on mine ,and it performed well but was just to explosive for a buggy. but thats just my thoughts

The spec 3 Truggy has the, or one of the highest HP ratings of a .28. It has good torque and is more suited, as the name suggests, to truggies or M/T's, but hell man, it'll be a lot of fun..............

It will be insane...over gear it by one or two teeth on the CB....I used a fantom .27 but wasn't allowed to win the club race because it was stomping WS7s and rossi engines like they were toys.....great fun but I agree with john, it is a bit much....tires become more critical and it squats ALOT more.......all your suspension settings will have to change.......
