Lipo chargers are not really expesive as hamz stated. Over time you will end up with several batteries. I cheap or knock off charger will end up costing you much more than the price of the charger if you go the lipo route.

I have some experience in destroying perfectly good lipo cells. I managed to burn one car to the ground.

I think I will upgrade to Lipos in the near future. For now though I will just get a couple Nihm batteries.
