Here is my completed revo 4.6. originally was going to go with a picco 26 but they couldnt get there act together for over 3 months while i had it on back order. i called up picco motors them selves and they couldnt get there act together and follow through on there dates they gave me.

so i went with the lrp motor as it was bigger and also a bit cheaper. i did tho have to buy another engine mount from new era as i already bought the picco mount. so the BB mount had to be shipped over too. i did also have the buku 1/10 clutch that was going to go on the picco but went with the M2C clutch instead.

everything went together reasonably well. did tho have to cut some bits of the roll bar and use the original (stretched) return spring instead of the one that came with the new era kit. but its all working well, just took it out then for 3 laps up the street and it started without heating up, idles perfect straight away which i was very happy with. had to lean out the LSN a touch to get it to move tho as it kept stalling on me. will be completing the break in later today.

i did notice tho, at 1/4 throttle it was moving about the same speed as i had the gearing before (14/40 at full throttle) and now its running 17/36. should go pretty fast...

Looks good. I'm thinking of going with the same engine. What header are u using?

The header that comes with the dynamite 086. Iv just cut it in half, flanged the ends and used a coupler. Was coming back too close to the carb.

Oh yeah!! Looking good man!! Need videos!! :D
You need a big block air filter man...

The stock air filter has next to no restriction. I can breath through it quite easy.

Will get some vids up once breakin is done. This thing has some power tho. It's running rich as ATM and when it hits second (turned second gear right out) and revs start getting up it pulls the front up. I know when I tune thing thing it's going to be crazy.

Your gonna need plenty of spare tires!!!

lol, these are old ones that I'm using to break in, i wanna get a set of street tires for these rims when i break through to the foam. I'm trying to camber it right out so that i get some even wear while i break in the motor.

Dont think its gonna matter. I believe that engine will turn the revo into a tire smokin beast if it doesn't hook up and flip it over backwards when you gas it. I definitely want to see some vids of it running! Learn the meaning of "THROTTLE CONTROL" real quick!

Looks nice. Finally moving again after such a long wait.

Man i can't get over how big that engine looks in that revo! I keep finding my way back to this thread to look at pics again. Its like porn to me! Lol... Dirty porn at that! Clean that thing!

Did you use the S bent filter hose from stock or is that the one that came with that high flow filter? I got mine yesterday and the one that came with it is too thick and rubs my spur so i just used my stock S neck intake with the high flow filter. I dont know if it would even be an issue with that lpr because its sits up higher and clears the spur.

I just got another stock revo filter. For two reasons. They are a hiflow filter and incase I do need to put my trx back in. The one I had had a tear in it and was about to break off

I tried to run mine today and it wouldnt start. Realized my boot between the header and exhaust had a gash in it. Guess i will pick a new one up tomorrow. I did manage to get my hew dx3c binded to it though. Happy about getting rid of the pos traxxas tq3 i had on it.

Break in is done. Just need someone to get some vid. Still haven't got a decent tune.

I may need to chAnge plug but having problem with it handing after a 3-4 sec wot. Short bursts it's fine. Iv run over a leter of 30% through it while it's been rich. Iv tied it rich as and leaned it out a bit but when I start leaning it I'm worried that it's too lean on a new motor. Temps start getting up to 115 and don't really want it running much hotter than that ATM.

Will have some more issues to address once I pull the clutch bell apart and inspect.

had to modify the slipper clutch pad holder as the cb just touches it, so just filed it down a touch

Thats a great idea for a pressure tank!!! I've only seen them on helis and planes and never even thought to put one on a car or truck. Hows it working out?

Yup. Just as i expected! You need throttle control lessons. Lol. That thing is WICKED!!!!!! Put some paddle tires on it and take it to the dirt and see just how high you can throw dirt into the air now.

Yep, looks good fun with that engine in.
