Which engine do you guys suggest?

I maybe in the market for a new engine if I can't get my os cv .15 running decent.

I would like to stay around the $100 range, but if it is really worth it. I do not mind spending $150. Or are there other engines you guys recommend.

I wanted to wait for the OS .18 or OFNA .21 small block to come out, but I'm not sure I can wait that long if my engine is dead.

What are you suggestions?

I run a .18 xtm in my stadium truck. It has been an easy to tune powerhouse. Their customer support is excellent.

I do not know what their price range is tho.

What vehicle is this in?

In that price range, I would get an OS .15 CV w/recoil and you can later upgrade it with a Hardcore Racing Head ... Nice combo in my opinion...... Lots-o-torque...

i got a Wasp .18 engines, and from what i hear, they are a good engine. i got mine for $90 brand new. i have to wait until spring comes to break the engine in though, too much snow and too cold.

I think I'm going to go with the orion wasp engine. For $90 I think its a deal compared to the other engines I've listed. And the big plus for me is that a new piston and sleeve only cost $30. Where the OS cv .15 cost $75 for a new piston in sleeve. When the Piston and sleeve cost that much, you might aswell buy a new motor.

Can ne1 share their experiences with the wasp .18 or give me anymore suggestions on engines?

Dude I still can't believe that no one recommends a fantom engine at all. Great engine and cheep rebuilds. Good luck with your wasp Out of the choice you listed the wasp 18 seems like a great buy

I looked up that Fantom engine and that one looks nIce. Its a little to the high end of my range, but a Nice engine. Could you recommend a place to purchase it? Everywhere I looked was either back ordered or over priced. 1.95bhp in my little nitro rs4 mini sounds nice, but also sounds expensive. I have .68 right now, and you can only imagine how many things I've broken already.

NOOP I wasn't trying to persuade you to get one well maybe a little. Out of your choices the Wasp seems the way to go honestly. I was able to pick up one New in the can on ebay for $40.00 which is a great purchase. You don't have to go 18 with it the 12 and 15 will have enough power for your car. Check out ebay for one that is new and fits your situation. A lot of guys offer them for like $80.00 new

I will do that. Thanks for ur input. and I'm not offended by any persuasion at all. I'm looking for it. I relatively new to RC and I dont know much. If I can find a fantom for 80, I will get that for sure. 80 is a great price for a .18 with 1.95 bhp. I'm going to check ebay out later today.

Depending on what your running it in, the OS 15 cv-r(x) is a really good engine. Tunes easy and lasts a long time. I have 6 gallons on mine in my xxx-nt and it still gives enough power to loose it easily.

I tried the engine in the maxx about 6 months ago, not enough power. For what i wanted and where i drive, i couldn't eak out enough power without overheating the engine. But on a stadium truck, that thing rips.

I should check out that Wasp .18, my father's Terra Crusher needs a new motor and it has my XTM .18 in it right now.
