Hoping to add some winch bumpers, rock sliders and roof rack and maybe some fender flares, havent really decided how i wanna "do it up" yet, i wanna be able to trail ride but i wanna drive it too.

I drove mine daily. It's challenging at times, but definitely doable.

I had to go to my brothers father in laws property about an hour from my house for some hog eradication and pond fishing. Decided to go down to the bottoms to check for hog markings and discovered that a thin layer of leaves covered the one thing I hate more than mud. F'ing RED CLAY!!!!!!

Worked the hell out of my winch today. Probably pulled over 100 yards. I had to pull all the way back up the hill because it was clay all the way up. Sucked. No hogs. No fish. And got stuck.

Flat fender it or get the psc fenders

I looked at the PSC, but decided on the bushwackers. The tube fenders (metal) have strong vertical strength, but the thinner sheet metal of the jeep tends to crumple with lateral hits, such as trees and rocks. The plastic of the bushwackers will give a little, giving more body protection.

Merged a number of these 1:1 car picture threads together... now we can see all of @alpinehyperlite's Jeep pictures in one easy to find thread. :D

Had her for just over a year now, and by far the most ass whoopin power planted vehicle I have owned that's not a classic or turboed sports car!

2002 Chevy Silverado 1500 HD with the biggest monster engine chevy makes for the Silverado gasser, the 6.0l Vortec V8.
Whole shot was day I baught it, and the last 2 are what she looks like now. I love mudding and big ole trucks on big ole tires around little bitty wheels, and I love slammed 4dr trucks.... can't decide if I want to slam it or push it up....

How in the world of blue lights legal? I thought blue and red lights where only for use by emergency vehicles? I've seen several around here with blue lights, folights and other marker lights - all blue and a couple others all red.

But I digress. I'm hoping next year I'll be able to buy a newer crew cab truck. The extended cab is starting to be a little small for the whole family.

Actually GM made an 8100 Vortec (8.1L) for the HD Gassers my 2009 was offered with a 6.2 although the 5.3 in mine had more than eough power to get me in trouble in a hurry...

Those are an HID or simulated HID light, @WoodiE. And having had a regular cab, extended cab and crew-cab, I really prefer the crew-cab. I can take my sister's brood for short trips with me...

The 5.3's like in yours Hamz run really well. Not the torque of the 6.0 or the 8.1 but they run better I think and can get pretty good mileage. My parents old 5.3 had gotten 21mpg on the freeway (hand calculated) and their current 6.0 never does better than 12. My old 7.3 still does 17 or 18.

21mpg? Nice for a truck..
my Renault Laguna 1.8 stationwagon does about 30mpg average, only think is the gas prices(the Netherlands..) are €1.75 a LITER... That's $1.93 a liter.

is not my car.. Same model.
