What are the top 5 RC tools that you frequently use on your workbench?

Here are mine.

1. Hex drivers. They save your hands and work much better than the L wrenches that come with most cars.

2. Socket drivers. They make tightening all the various nuts on your ride so much easier.

3. Clutch spring tool. There are a few different models out there, I have the Sportwerks and it makes installing and removing clutch shoes a cinch.

4. Caliper. Not a specifically an RC tool, but works wonders for measuring screw sizes, checking clearances, figuring out if a shaft is slightly bent or mushroomed etc.

5. Air compressor. Can be used for cleaning, airbrushing, not to mention a million other household uses.

Please add to this list with your favorites, there just might be a tool missing from your workbench that will make wrenching on your rigs more enjoyable and fun.

Hmmmm, good question. Here are my top 5, in no specific order:

1. Hex drivers. I'm getting by on a scrap set, but I really need to upgrade to a quality set.

2. Screw drivers. Use both Philips and flat quite a bit.

3. Pliers. Always great to have to hold the flywheel when taking the clutch nut off.

4. Spudger. This is a telecommunications tool that I find is quite useful on R/C's (picture below).

5. Air compressor. Self-explanatory.
