savage 25 engine leaking?

my friend's s25 was leaking nitro prolly in the backplate,this is while its running...i see it wets the rear tire/wheel.its running rich also coz it wont pick up speed..how do we stop that?does he need a new back plate?can someone please give me an idea on what to do?thanks!

First off if its leaking around the backplate you need to re-seal the engine. Theres threads on the site about how to do so just use the search feature. Or you can also find vids on youtube that are very helpful. Its an easy process and will greatly improve engine tuning and performance. As far as it being too rich then just lean the HSN(high speed needle) located beside carb intake inside the brass fuel inlet. Here is a link to performance tuning your engine.
