I'm new into the boating world and all I have around me is salt water and I wanted you to know if it's ok to run a gas boat in salt water

It's okay, but the after run maintenance has to be VERY thorough. You can't just hose things off, you have to use a good detergent on all the exposed metal such as props and rudders. You also have to flush the cooling system completely.
Any white haze that shows up inside is salt from the air.

What's the best thing to clean the cooling system with

A squeeze bottle with a silicon tube. White Vinegar. Shoot it through the intakes several times, then rinse with clear water.

make sure u dont get any! salt water on your elec's it hurts them bad lolz, also one thing i didnt think to clean but flush out your prop shaft, the build up in there has locked out one of my boats before, then relube it and smile :D, also wouldnt recommend running them on a beach line, as the waves flip your boats
