I am currently upgrading my servo's and thought I would post along the way for anyone else looking to do the same. I do realize I could be doing this incorrectly and may be way overkill but thats why I'm posting. If you see me doing anything incorrectly or have good advice, please let me know.
This is an update in red. I was doing a few things wrong.
1st Project: Steering Twin HiTec HS-7955TG Servo's
This is enough for any easy install as seen in the attached picture. I'll likely hear it is overkill but it should be one tough system.
Currently, I'm researching aluminum steering kits, horns etc to see if I should upgrade. However, I think with both horns (Dual Servo) linked the plastic might be strong enough and act as a simple weak point for damage absorption.
Not sure though, please forward any comments, advice or criticism in this matter.
I am going to upgrade the Throttle & Shifting servo later today, will update post.
PEACE!

1st Project: Steering Twin HiTec HS-7955TG Servo's
Items Used
- (2) HiTec HS-7955TG Servo's (Part # 37955S)
- (1) HiTec HS-7955TG is needed. This still has enough oz/in to overpower the HD SS Spring. This gives you 333 oz/in compared to the stock 160 (combined). Part can be substituted with a HiTec 985MG as well for both T/B & Steering.
- (1) HiTec Servo programer/tester (Part # HFP 25)
- (1) Traxxas Servo Horn Kit for aftermarket servo's (Part # 5345X)
- (1) Traxxas Heavy Duty Servo Saver Spring (Part # 5344X)
This is enough for any easy install as seen in the attached picture. I'll likely hear it is overkill but it should be one tough system.
