In my quest to make the best race/bashing truck, I have been accumulating various weight info. I posted what I had a while back on another forum. Since then, I have added a few more updates to it, so I thought I would re-post it.

The weights were either obtained from the internet, magazines, or my own digital scale, so take them as a guidline. Anyway, if you are looking to decrease your weight, you can get an idea of things from the list below.

**Hopefully, people will correct and/or contribute other weight information to this thread and keep it flowing:

Nice list man. I'm sure many here will greatly appreciate your info.

Sure, weight is a factor in racing besides many other things. (horsepower, tires, shocks, driving skill, etc...)

Think about it can you go faster in your (real) car with it loaded down with a full tank of gas, tons of groceries, & four friends.

Or can you go faster with just you & half a tank of gas?

By decreasing the weight of rotational mass (tires, rims, gears, etc..) you allow that power to be put into your momentum. For example, can you roll a 5lb bowling ball faster than a 15lb bowling ball?

I don't race on any professional circuit or belong to any race club, but physics definitely plays a role in racing.

True, but sometimes you need that extra edge when racing, so you can look at decreasing your weight as one option.

EP's rides and driving style contradict all laws of physics.

Nice compilation, DL.

Nice post, Digi. I totally agree with this analysis of weight and power. The more power you have at your disposal combined with the least amount of weight, the faster you "should" go. For racing enthusiast, limiting weight to the max is their main goal. This why Nascar racing has one seat and a roll cage; this it. Although its hot they don't have air conditioning or a radio. The object is to limit the amount of weight to maximize performance.

Now maybe for the Savage owners someone can post weights for the T-Maxx Killah. For starters:

Stock 25--11.5lbs
Stock rims/tires--328g a piece

Feel free to add on.... :thankyou:
