Hey everyone, so the other day looking for something i found my old mini t roller chassis. It needs a motor, esc, battery, and battery cover. and i can either spend the money rebuilding it... Or just get a micro t for even cheaper.

In a way i feel like just buying another car would be like throwing the mini t away but I'm on a budget and dont wanna spend over 100 bucks...

If i were to spend over 100 dollars i would get this:

But, only bad thing about that is that I'm looking for something to drive inside the house so i guess thats out of the question i just love that little thing.

Anyways back on topic

Mini T repair list

Brushless isnt in mind either, its in my opinion to fast for such a small car and hard to control on dirt if i take it out.

Or spend less and go with this .http://www.ebay.com/itm/TEAM-LOSI-M...ol_Vehicles&hash=item43a260b157#ht_1749wt_952

So all in all, i do feel waste full if i get the micro t but i simply am on a budget and dont know if i wanna spend a ton to get the mini t to work. But if any of you know of any other places that sell these parts for cheaper thad be great. I mean i personally love ebay and find some great deals on here.

I know some of the parts i listed were upgrades but the stock battery pack sucks. and the stock motor aswell.

Also, what is your opinion on the micro T ? I love really small hobby grade rc's they are really fun and since its winter time there's nothing like being able to mess around in the house.

Thank you for your time every one !

The Micro T is a great little truck. I have a highly modded micro D/T that puts a grin on everyone's face when I get room to run it. I'd say get the micro T and drive it this winter and repair/upgrade the Mini T later this spring.

I just trade for a micro T and so far i love it, Radio is a little spotty when it gets to the other sied of the room, but that may be my batteries, seems to be a fun little truck for the inside, and it give the cat some excersize

Yeah it seems like a great little truck. Even my mini t when i first got it was awesome. i loved it alot and had a ton of fun. And i think the micro t would be just as much fun. but i mean i might just get the micro... its pretty cheap for 80 bucks shipped.... and plus small scale rc's are AWESOME.

i love my mini t. just got a new wheelie bar, and i can pull one all the way down the street. got a heat sink for motor, makes a big difference ! now i can finally beat my son's modded mini high roller !:first_place:

^ yeah I've been seeing that motor all over ebay when ever I'm looking at micro t's. I'm sure they are good too.. but yeah going to probably get a micro t its just in the end cheaper and i just have a thing for small small scale stuff.

But i also want a small nitro truck badly..

i want either what i listed above the VTX or what ever it is or the OFNA jammin CRT... looks awesome.

hmmm looking for ESC's for the mini t and found this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Losi-esc-mo...Accessories&hash=item416183071c#ht_500wt_1202 basically everything i need besides the spur .... no one has bid on it yet i figure if i got it for 40 then i basically have a running mini .. then i would just order the spur and have some fun.

Only thing is those dreaded AA batteries -__-

i have gotten into 1/5 scale, i have a hard time working on the micro's, i have to buy a 4xl glove so that makes things that small to work on.

Well 5th scale is just awesome aswell, i want a 5th scale bad but since thats way outta my league I'm not even looking at em any more.

I'm tempted to give that atomic motor a try in my micro-T. I don't have much room to run indoors so brushless is out of the question, but a HO brushed motor would be perfect.

Thats my situation not enough room for brushless but the big block is looking good to me too

I personally dont even know why people would want brushless even if they did have enough room... its just too much.. you can't keep the wheels down and its not fun because you dont have much control.

Try 35-40 mph passes with one of the little beasts. As far as wheelies, it's called throttle control. My problem was getting traction.

I had the atomic BB motor. First one I recieved was a dud, second one didn't last very long. It's a small bump in power, but not much IMO. As hamz stated, if you have the room, and more importatnly the throttle control he mentioned, then go for a brushless setup.

I went back to the stock motor and it's still going strong, and will still rip wheelies on command on a fully charged NimH pack. The lipo just spins until it drains some, then it's wheelie time. But, I like wheelies in the living room though. :D

Ehh i still think brushless isnt really usefull almost no matter how much throttle control you have you still have a truck that will just be so squirly it wont be fun IMO . the micro t brushed when it was running was fine.. with the nimh pack and after market motor it will perform fine with out have to spend some much time on throttle control. I've seen some people just run fully stock micro t's with lipo packs. but i think ill go that route just lipo with maybe an after market motor.

I'm charging a pack to go and run the newest Micro in the stable, my Micro SCT. It fixed the traction problems and isn't nearly as squirrelly on 2s LiPo and 10250kV brushless.

I can't get mine to hook up enough to wheelie, it just spins in circles on hardwood

Mine will wheelie pretty easy on carpet when fully charged. Doing donuts on wood floor is fun too.

:\ my whole house is hard wood, i have no carpet

The BB stands for Ball Bearing not Big Block if I'm not mistaken. At least thats what I read somewhere. As for how good they are I have no idea I never tried one. My micro will not pull wheelies on the stock NiMH pack. It will on LiPo but running LiPo on the stock motor makes it run hot as crap. I suspect if you did that for any length of time the motor would fail. I'm putting the 10,250KV Brushless system in mine and a wheelie bar and I ordered alot of hop up parts for it. I figure it will be a blast outdoors and if I want to run it indoors then I can just scale back the throttle settings on my TX.

The stock NiMH pack only lasts for about 10-12 minutes so if your gonna run NiMH I suggest picking up a second pack and the wheelie bar that holds a battery pack and then run both packs in parallel for extended run times.
