hey hey, surprised yall arent tired of me yet, stoked if your not,
yesterday my son hit a rock a little too fast in his everest 10, broke the servo horn so i went to the shop today and picked up a new horn and the stuff to add rear wheel steering to it for him.

spoiler alert ** forgot one horn for back servo like a dumb
I've watched a few videos and they already had their linkage assembled ( lucky dogs) i had to assemble mine

got it all put together and excited to see if i did it correct when i realize i forgot the horn for new servo..... good times classic me, so now it will sit on the shelf till tuesday. and i will be sad.
the new steering didnt want to set the way id like with the factory tires.. also who like keeping factory tires?? THIS GUY thats who, but i pulled a fast one on ya.. see their the factory tires from the ecto. so factory yes everest no.. anyhow they do fit better and i kinda like how it looks with them.

These servos are lackluster
What do I look for in a servo?
I need a good one for the front
I want it to turn more sharply

25kg I ran in my Everest 10 and worked nice, but have the 35kg in my capra and probably switching it out.

9imod I am running right now and do not recommend, got these at very good price and now I know why. Not bad just can’t handle the wt of my Everest 10. But the 25kg and the 35 kg I like a lot and are cheap. I just can’t get myself to spend the money on a reefs servo or any other high end servos. Lol

The grabber tires from the ecto aren't bad. I still have The General Grabbers on my Sendero HD, but put something a little more aggressive on the Ecto. Looks like it's coming right along. Your son is going to love the 4 wheel steer. :)

GAH... GOT THE SECOND SERVO HORN YAY!!! CONTROLLER WONT LET ME ACCESS IT BOOO...oops didnt know caps was on sorry for yellin. but is appropriate with my rage levels.
real kicker??? i just bound the dumbo rc reciever that has 5 channels to the ecto... i honestly dont want to undo that work and lose my horn, so I'm gonna buy another dumbo controller. i see the flysky but I'm poor lol. hopefully this new controller will allow me to access rear wheel steer.

can someone tell me if this ransmitter will allow me to use 4 wheel steering? or suggest one under 40 bucks that will?

I use it with my Everest 10, I use channel 5 or 6 then you can move rear where you exactly need it in climbs. Or you can get a reverse cable and run it four wheel steer all the time. Also can hook to channel 3 and just have three options, but will be full turn one way or the other. Witch breaks a lot of parts if not careful.

I actually used a link from the danchee to make it a little easier access whole driving.

There may be a way to make a switch and use it like the stock remote. Not sure, I like the independent steer, that is just my preference.

so i noticed this morning one of my other transmitters has a 3rd channel, so i hooked it up to the everest and sucess. we have 4 way steering...sort of
i can hit the ch3 switch either up or down, turning the back wheels to their max either right or eft. i am able to crab walk as well. BUT i can't control how much rear steer there is. this is gonna take a little getting used to.

Get a Flysky GT5. It has a 4ws setting in it that lets you control the rear wheels in various ways.

i like them but their a little out of my price range for the moment, plan on getting one this upcoming month. wife is already giving me doodie about how much I've spent on just the 5 i have. gotta sneakily order stuff like that muahahahahaaaaa

managed to score a better tool today with a little misdirection and some under the counter sliding from the salesman. she knew about the screws i was getting not about the new tool muahahhahaaa. slowly but surely

used said tool to lower the suspension on the everest. my sons home from school tomorrow so if weather permits we will give her another run

You should check out Holmes Hobbies servos. Better than those amazon servos but not as pricey as reefs.

I'm now trying to figure put this drag break and thinking about doing the pen shock thing? Using the spring from a pen inside my shock
😨

I'm not sure I understand what this means but I think it means if I have the tab inserted into the back slots leaving the front one open I would then have 100% drag brake?
I dunno which is better
You tube here we come I hear people mention it often but didn't pay much attention to it
What a fool I am

So spent a while trimming the factory general grabber tires that cane on the ecto.
I cut every other tread off, man did that make such a difference
But I went too deep in one freaking spot and put a small hole in it
I think I can cover it in super glue to keep the tore good
Fingers crossed

Your understanding of the drag brake setting is correct. Of the 3 options, I'd go with 100%.

I've glued torn sidewalls on bashers and it usually holds so I'd say your good
