If you have a 4WD monster truck with four motors and the front axles do not turn then how does the vehicle turn? For example, if you are going forward and you want to turn right, which motors are running and which direction? I assume that going forward the at least the rear two motors are turning in the forward direction. When turning right, does the front passenger side motor turn in the reverse direction to pull the truck to the right? Another question is with a 4WD truck shouldn't all the wheel be tuning all the time in at least one direction?

You mean that there is no steering on the front axle?

I'm assuming like a skid steer. Left wheels go together as does the right. One forward will turn one way. One forward and the other reverse for a smothe zero turn without wearing any surfaces.

That is correct. Each wheel has its own motor.

Let me see if I can get this straight:
Since it is a 4WD monster truck with a motor on each wheel I should have the followong:
Forward - all for wheels turning forward
Backward - all for wheels turning in reverse direction
Right Turn forward - front right and back right are turning forward
Left Turn forward - front left and left back are turning forward
Right turn backward - ??
Left Turn backward - ??

Can you fill in the movements for me? Thanks

What kind of janky RC truck is this?

You can "group" the left and right motors for the sake of brevity.

The best way to find out might be to experiment yourself, or to draw yourself a diagram and imagine which way the vehicle will turn.

It's called "differential steering", if you turn the left and right motors in the opposite directions, you can turn in place without moving at all, a "zero-radius turn"

I guess I've never seen an rc that the front axle didn't steer.
