Well I did yesterday…..
It was a series of small mistakes, the snowball effect if you will; and yeah, must of been somewhere around 40’ in a tree.
I went home gathered a bunch of crap, 2 sections of 10’ plastic pipe, I unscrewed rake handles, took the wife’s tomatoe stakes and copious amounts of duct tape. I rigged all this together and was able to stand it up and carefully get it in position. I was close and had to lift this whole shaky mess up, and was able to wiggle it close enough (with the help of some branches) I got behind the wing and flung it out. Still can’t believe it.
Minor damage to the plane, I’ll need to glue a decorative exhaust piece back on, also bent the prop, and the battery drained.
Got my plane back and learned a lot.
