For quite some time I've wanted to make some traditional truck bodies for my two Kyosho Mad Crusher's to use instead of the Monster Jam 3D Dragonoid bodies I have been using. Mostly just a change of taste, and wanting to rekindle my interest in the trucks. Also, those Dragonoids are a PITA to make! And while I've actually found them to be durable, it's only a matter of time before they get busted up and have to be redone.
I worked on my red themed truck first, now dubbed "Angler Management". Get it? Haha. Anyway...I decided on a metallic red, black and silver look with stripes on the hood. My paint schemes are usually pretty simple. I'm pretty good at airbrushing freehand on fishing lures, but stenciling on RC bodies I've just stuck to basic stuff.
Love how it looks on the truck!
If anybody is wondering if this "RC room" is a room in my house that I've destroyed, lol, no, it's actually a "finished" garage as the house was a model home and the garage was the office. One day I'm gonna rip all this crap out and make it a real garage.
For the blue themed truck, I have a metallic blue, and will (maybe) do orange stripes on the hood. Still debating on orange or silver.
